I wonder why.
Sure they lied to you, and made a MT mall, and probably done a lot of other stuff you don't know about yet.
But every mega corporation is evil in the inside right?
All i'm saying is, give CCP some slack people, i don't see you making a space MMO.
(Which actually looks a little bit like babylon 5) |

EVE is a game that engenders a large amount of long term emotional investment in this game. Thus, even small changes produce upsets. And this was not a small change.
But beyond that, there is very real fear in the player base that this game, as we know it, might not even exist in a year or two. This is a game where month and year long projects are common features to individual gameplay. Consequently, concern of where EVE and CCP might be in a year affects players now. |

You think CCP is evil, then you tell people to cut them slack? Just why should anybody cut evil slack? Sounds ridiculously irresponsible.
Course I don't think they are actually evil.
They couldn't stand to make a killing, they wanted to make a bigger killing. And so the overextension begins.
It's not evil, just what a human perceives as harmless greed.
Evil would be if they took your credit card information and robbed you, and when you spoke out they threatened to kill your dog. |

Huh? When did CCP become a mega-corp? When did they lie? They said in the dev blogs that the Nex store was coming out of the closet... |

CCP tries to market itself (externally as internally) as a really large indie studio, not as a mega corp.
If they would consistently plan and behave like a mega corp I would feel a lot more confident about the future of EVE.
Instead they combine all the unprofessionalism of a 3-man indie studio with the management failure and delusions of a mega corp. |

This happens to all games eventually. EvE is old, in the beginning developers have passion and direction. As time goes by the originals who had a personal interest and a pride in what they created leave or loss the passion, new people who see the game as purely an economic opportunity take over and of course will try to milk it for as much as they can.
EvE is almost a decade old, itll die like all games do. This 80 year pipedream the dev was talking about is pure spin. Its milking time for EvE with the revenue generated to go into development of new products using technologies and innovation that cant be injected into this old pretty broken game. |
