Instead of these ridiculous prices, (i.e. T-Shirts costing more than real life T-Shirts, $80 Monocles, etc.) why not follow the example of a VERY successful "Avatar" marketplace:
http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/AvatarMarketplace
Now, 80 Microsoft Points is $1 US, so most of those things are between $1-3.
I would imagine CCP would get a lot more buyers at that pricepoint, rather than an extremely few buyers at a its current absurdly high pricepoint.
As it is now, players I'm sure are looking at the initial prices, laughing/scoffing, and will never visit the NEX again. |

It's called the noble exchange.
Maybe you should visit the dollar shop, thrift store, or your local St Vinnies to buy your threads. |

It doesn't matter what it's called that doesn't justify buying a pair of pants for the price of a US navy aircraft carrier. Not even Bill Gates would be so stupid with his money. |

But if everyone has the "special" clothes, what exactly is going to make them "special"? By making them clothes affordable for everyone, you loose the entire point of it being a vanity item. |

Nobody would pay so much for purely cosmetic items.

I paid for my shirt with ISK. Someone was kind enough to put it up on the market for a discounted price. So I got it cheap. |

I agree completely with OP; +1. Or at least have a "teir" of $1 or less options. I'd split a PLEX into aurum today if this was the business model. I'd be happy to donate some MICROtransaction money to CCP to help with their current finnacials; but I'm not going to get bent over while doing it. And no I'm not a "poor peasant" either monocle people. I could easily buy a $60 monocle on all 6 of my toons, and my wife wouldn't even notice the drop in the bank; but I'm not going to under principle. CCP still needs to come back to earth on this. RAAAAGE! |

I agree with the lower pricing models. I'd buy lots more stuff (when WIS comes out) if it was on the 1-5 dollar scale. |

As long as they drop so I can **** your well dressed corpse I don't care.
Oh, they don't drop, but they magically appear in your new clone, but not your jumpclone.
Ah, I see logic is not a CCP strongpoint. |
