i just post here because ccp failed to start a topic about today's extended downtime. also, the patch info is nowhere to be found and i wonder if the link as posted in the first post in this topic is the right patch info...some of that info is dated at 28 june..
i also start to wonder how it is possible that the postponed extended DT would be extended from 11:00 till 14:30 while today it is only from 11:00 till 12:00 :)

Could be because it is only server side fixes, so no client update required ??

EVE crashed again ?
Could it be that the Incarna 1.0.2 isn't as stable under fairly high load as hoped?
I first noticed the market in Jita crawling to a halt although flying worked fine.

Could be it Incarna 1.0.2 hasn't even been deployed yet? Moron.

Proof positive that CCP is lazy. A PROPERLY written patch does all the behind the scene stuff for you. MOST people I know can not be trusted to go into subdirectories and find the right file(s) and delete them. How many people have gone in and erased the wronge files/directory and had to do a complete reinstall of EvE?
A PROPERLY written patch does not need user initiated manual "fixes" to the fix, or to fix the fix to the fixed, fix, ad nausium...

Too many client restarts.
Hope there is another "patch" to fix this.
My annual renewal is due next month and its not automatic. |

I rarely have an issue that needs my cache cleaned. I don't want my thousands of sorted bookmarks folders killed just because CCP patched. They don't need to be deleting things that don't need to be deleted.
It takes like 5 seconds to clear your cache; there is a freaking button in the ESC menu now.
Your suggestion is bad and you should feel bad. ___
