Has anyone ever got a faction mod off the Shadow rat that spawns in this mission?
I have ran this well over 20 times and never, and I mean never got anything other that T1 mods faction ammo and a Tag,
is this rat not a real faction rat or something because it spawn in a mission rather than a belt?
Or am I just being extremely unlucky with it?

I've had control tower bpcs, snake omegas and all sorts right through to long streaks of nothing, something good will drop eventually...Maybe...

I'm assuming your talking about the level 5 mission? as far as I'm aware ..its only a level 5 mission. I've ran it well over 30 times and it drops a faction mod or bpc 90 percent of the time. you could also be thinking of Operation Wyrmsbane which is another level 5 mission and is identical to Operation Wyrmslayer but it doesnt have the Shadow spawn.
first time i ran it, it dropped a Vindicator BPC

My success rate is relatively low too. Frequent low-value faction mods (plating, etc.) worth little more than nothing. An occasional serp webber or large smart bomb are the "mid range" value items. The best by a good measure was a snake alpha.
In a three week period, I ran 7 slayers, and only one had the high value drop. Prior to that, I probably ran it about 30 times over 7 months with all low to mid value drops. Never a BPC, but a friend did get a Vigilant BPC, and faction towers aren't dropping anymore anywhere.
OFC OP is talking about slayer. There's no faction spawn in bane.

I never get this mission anymore :( used to drop nice stuff for me.
