Near future? Where are they? Incursions are out for quite a while...
Bid refused.

MEh was gonna bid 23bill to but o well. The ship is a worse than a normal sc. a primary target god and you can't trust any 1 to build it besides you. your asking more for the bpc than the last built ship cost and your market can only become more competitive not less.

I am not doubting your statement. There are less number of BPCs as we would like, but still, you and I both know that as long as the Incursion continues, there will be more BPCs in circulation.
23B was just a starting bid that I thought was pretty sound. The premium solely comes from the Revenant's "cool factor." I will wait and see how auction goes and maybe I will bid more if others can justify that its value is more than I've summed up.

Edited by: Mesh Marillion on 14/07/2011 00:11:48 To give the pricing a different perspective: a tourney ship sells for about 25 - 30 bill. However until the number of Revenants reach the number of adrestias or mimirs in game it takes, at the current drop rate, about 3 to 4 years. So we are still talking about one of the rarest ships in the game.

To give the pricing a different perspective:
It only gains one drone per level instead of three (up to a total of 10 with max skills), but then gets double damage to fighters and fighter bombers to try and make up for it. If you want to use standard drones however, like sentries, you are effectively a (very expensive) normal carrier, because you can only deploy 10 instead of the 20 every other super carrier can use. It requires two of the racial carrier skills to receive it's bonuses (which are not very good ones), it can't use remote armor reps, it has no bonuses to tanking, and can't out-damage any of the other SC's. Effectively, it's a Hel with an extra high-slot, which you can guarantee will be primaried when it lands on the field.
Oh, did a mention it looks like a turd?
If you ever buy one of these, ever, for any reason, you are at a level beyond stupid. I would love to say "I wouldn't buy one of these if it was going for 1 billion", but I'd be lying. I'd buy it, and then sell it to idiots like this for a ridiculous profit.
Happy to help.

to give a 3rd point of view, people will only pay what it is worth to them.
so people may say OMG it's worth 70bil... or some may say meh it's worth 10bil, all of you can argue, but i would leave it up to the bids :)

Just for help referencing*
I sold the last (built revenant) for 40bil.
At the time it was the first drop of six or seven low-sec incursions making the drop rate roughly 18% or so.
Six months later there have been only two of roughly 25 low-sec incursions done. making the drop rate roughly 7-8%
Since we know now just how rare these things are its safe to say that a price bump from the last one is not unfair to ask. -

but you sold a complete product and not only a paper. the risk was on your side to finish the ship. with a BPC you only adress to collectors with sov, building rigths + CSAA owners. the revenant sitter itself is the smallest problem.
