Offshore Group Corp was selling Moa's for 5 mill, the seller was Killah ad made the deal to deliver it to us. He said it was on its way, Killah then said he was 17 jumps out and was going to have problems get through due to his low security rating and decided to go back,he laugh and told us he was going to keep are 5 Mill. I'm so tired of corp's ripping people off, you can't trust anyone. All I know is that Killah better watch his back because paybacks are a Mother F*****. Everyone better watch out for this scamming group don't trust them.

Yeah, agreed, I've personally sold 100+ ships and have never asked the other party to pay in advance, even when I was delivering.
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Yeah, agreed, I've personally sold 100+ ships and have never asked the other party to pay in advance, even when I was delivering.
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

My gut feeling about it, was "to good to be true" it probably is. I never would have giving any cash up front, but my friend trusted him. Big Mistake, it's hard to find trustworthy corp's in this game. Everyone is out to rip you off.

No, not everyone, but there are lots out there for sure. My advice would be to declare war on his corp and start attacking any of his corp on site. Assuming your corp is of equal or bigger size. Once they've lost more than 5 mill worth of ships then their little tactic won't seem so profitable anymore.
That said never pay for something in advance in this game. It is way too easy to get ripped off.

There are many many variants but a con will almost always have two elements.

Heres a good one some bright director in my soon to be x-corporation fell for yesterday to the tune of 28 Million ISK. Had he spoken up about the cash involved in the deal I would have stopped him but he kept the details to himself for some unknown reason.
Newby A is looking for a corp so they sign him up. A few days later newby A tells us that player B which is is best buddy in the entire universe is quitting Eve to go play SWG and has all theese real expensive ship BPs he wants to give him to help him out. Newby A says he will need help from the corp to build and sell the ships so offeres to doante the BPs to the corp once he gets them. (the easy money element of the con). Never is any money mentioned... yet.
A day or two later newby A announces he has the BPs! Yippee... but hes located some 20 or 30 systems away but cant get them to the corp and has to log off and go to work or whatever. (the mark is all happy and elated and looking forward to the BPs which dont actually exist)
Next day... newby A logs in. Tells his mark ahh bad news. His best buddy Player B is feeling bad because is other best buddy Player C is not getting anything and fears he will have to give the BPs back so he can hook up Player C. Some discussion ensues... then newby A says hey.. maybe we can give Player B some cash so he has something to give Player C instead of our BPs and doesnt feel bad. I just talked to him and he would be willing to do this and we can keep the BPs but he has to go soon and after today he wont be able to get into eve so he needs a decision right away. (the now or never factor) The money is transferred to player B thinking newby A has the BPs and all is well....
A minute later... Newby A quits the corp and logs off. Player B loggs on (newby A and player B actually being the same person) The con transfers the cash the cash to his REAL charcater. Newby A and Player B are deleted.
The scenario did not go down exaclty as descibed but it was real close.
The moral of the story... greed will screw you every time.
Of course our director petetioned the Dev... Their respose: Sorry, cant help you but it sure is sad how far some people will go to steal from otheres.
So... be carefull out there and always make sure you are actually getting what you pay for.

Killah was selling cu vapors in Slays last night. And then all of a sudden he couldn't even get to Slays and wanted pick up in 4c-b a 0.0. After telling him he was nuts to think im flying into 0.0 to pick up 4 cu vapors his response was, "its safe out here there are 12 of us here". Then I asked him if they all had neg sec ratings like him. His answer was "why would i kill you for 2 guns". This guy is a major con.

4C-B7X is a reasonably safe system - lots of decent people there.
Getting there, however, is a different matter.
P.S: I paid for my Moa upfront in isk then mined the mineral share.
Talk to V1P3R if you want a good deal.

4C-B7X is a reasonably safe system - lots of decent people there.
Getting there, however, is a different matter.
P.S: I paid for my Moa upfront in isk then mined the mineral share.
Talk to V1P3R if you want a good deal.

I was attacked by them (nal9000 and Killah) under the guise of delivering a blueprint that they had agreed to purchase from me. On my way to deliver (yes, I know, I should have known better), they attachek me at the gate leading into the destination system.
Luckily, MWD saved my ass, and the blueprints are safe. I't worth noting that there was a member of The Gang with them at that point, but I'm not sure if he was there officially or not, but the guy did open fire on me with nal9000.

I usta be n the offshore group, well actually my alt. who will go unnamed but if nebody ever says they ever tried to fight us... they were wrong everyone just declared war on us then backed down we never lost a single piece of equiptment to ne of the corps we were at war with so if u said u faught us u were lying |
