Anybody have good PVP fits for these lovely ships? I caved and got them both since i had a little extra cash. I prefer Solo PVP fits but Gang fits work too. Thanks for your help :D ------------------------ It's called an organized retreat. By organized we mean we go in many different directions at once screaming like little girls. |

This Slicer is basically stolen from Don Pellegrino. I had some fun engagements in it, most successful probably killing a Daredevil and destroyer in one engagement (then dying to rats looting )
You don't HAVE to have the fancy mwd but it makes your cap a lot more manageable. Some cheap speed and hull/armour implants can help. I posted it elsewhere and several people thought the rigs were funky but I like it...
[Imperial Navy Slicer, pellegrino w implants] Tracking Enhancer II Heat Sink II Internal Force Field Array I Co-Processor II Overdrive Injector System II
Warp Disruptor II Gistii C-Type 1MN MicroWarpdrive
Medium Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S [empty high slot] Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Energy Collision Accelerator I Small Energy Ambit Extension I Small Energy Ambit Extension I
pellegrino approved implants are...
cy-1 ay-1 zors custom cx-1 zet500
For the comet, I like to mostly do damage and then gtfo fast. Most people go for a bit more tank, or a buffer fit, but I have had the most fun in this one, again best engagement I have had in it I killed a dramiel and vengeance camping a plex
This is a low sec only fit (hence the ab) but if you are manly you can go 0.0 in it.
[Federation Navy Comet, SPANK] Internal Force Field Array I Coreli C-Type Small Armor Repairer Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Small Diminishing Power System Drain I Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Small Anti-Explosive Pump I Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I Small Hybrid Ambit Extension I
Hobgoblin II x3 Warrior II x3
It's worth noting that the IFFA's were a lot cheaper when I bought them, last I checked they were up to about 20m isk, you might want to try and fit a cheaper one but the cpu is tight. I don't think the comet fit works any other way.
Goddamnit, now I want to fit out another Comet. ~~~

Thanks for the reply mate!
Thats how i fit my Slicer, i just looked at it and came up with it, except for i used 2 PolyCarbon rigs and 1 Ambit Extension. For the Comet i used the Coreli C-Type dual repper fit :p ------------------------ It's called an organized retreat. [Imperial Navy Slicer, New Setup 1] Pseudoelectron Containment Field I Heat Sink II Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II 'Dyad' Co-Processor I
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters Faint Warp Disruptor I
Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot] Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Energy Collision Accelerator I Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
Bring drop. If you are looking for dramiels, your tracking has to be MUCH higher - more metastasis rigs, or you will just get executed without landing more than 2-3 good volleys.

As far as Lady Spank's fits go, both work, but the slicer's rigs make no sense at all, +falloff rigs on a laser ship? And one with an optimal range bonus to boot? Put 1 TE and a locus rig on and you have 22km optimal, perfect.
I would use this fit, it's cheaper and as effective. You could change the MWD to make cap more manageable, just change it to the one that costs more PG but the same CPU.

As far as the navy comet goes, the best fit is the mini-brutix fit :P (I'm a sucker for active tanks)

[Federation Navy Comet, Mini-Brutix] Centii C-Type Small Armor Repairer Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Centii C-Type Small Armor Repairer

Light Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Light Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Small 'Knave' I Energy Drain
Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I Small Anti-Explosive Pump I
Hobgoblin II x3 Warrior II x3
220dps, 1130m/s, 133dps tank, 170dps overloaded, cap stable. But most importantly, hilarious to fly.

I like that fit.
Ever since my first dual-prop taranis, I've been in love with ual-prop fits.

275dps (309 OH) 3242 m\s mwd 1146m\s ab 4500 ehp. The tank is irrelevant. You really only want to use a couple over heated pulses of the repper. Just fly it like a ranis.

Do people still hold the opinion that an offlined highslot module is any more effective than no module at all, or are you guys just bringing a salvager so you can offline a gun or something to salvage?

A salvager is useful to have when you're poor. A small remote rep can also be useful if you're flying with a few friends. If you got the slots you might as well put something in there that COULD come in handy.

It also helps to soak up heat when you overheat your guns.

Loads of people fail-fit slicers. Unless you fit it like the following you may as well be using other ships, because there are better alternatives and the cpu does not lend itself to anthing else.
2 X medium pulse laser II (scorch)
MWD long point
HS TE Nanos
2 X energy locus (yes t2, they are cheap and really help) 1 X rig of choice (I use low friction)
Gives you 130 dps projected out to about 26km, ideally you wanna fly it with loki boosts which push the speed to extreme levels and let you point from over 30km
