What are the best headphones to use for team speak? Right now I am torn between the Plantronics DSP 500 and the Plantronics Game Com Pro 1. Any suggestions or reviews would be great. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

I just think a set of headphones that are comfortable and don't hurt your ears if you wear them for a long time are best.
I have a set of Kenwood KPM-310's, but after a few hours they make my ears hurt.
I guess the solution is not to play so much Eve

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my DSP500's. Best gaming headset I have ever owned. USB with its own built in soundcard in the cord you can use these anywhere even on a pc/laptop with a crappy soundcard. While other True headphones are much better for a combo set thse cant be beat. You can find them all day long on EBAY brand new in the 50-65 dollar range. Dont pay the full retail price ($100-$150) You wont be dissapointed if you get these babies.

Agreed. Comfort is the key.
I have plantronics and can't fault their reliability or sound quality. But i know people who have spent like, ten pounds on hed sets and been perfectly happy. Just make sure you get a set where you can disable the mic if u need to, nothing worse than heavy breathers, smokers and pron watchers making noise when you are trying to say something |

I own a DSP-500 (for over 2 years now) and it is absolutely THE best headset i have ever used. I wear it for hours and hours on end and never gets uncomfortable. The mic. quality on these things is great. Also great sound quality for listening to music. Good base.
As far is a can see on the plantronics website the Gamecon pro 1 and the older DSP-500 are exactly the same units. Plantronics started a gaming-line and renamed the DSP-500 to gamecon pro 1.
If you absolutely need a stand-alone device, this headset needs no soundcard to plug it in, get the gamecon pro 1.
Otherwise i suggest you buy the normal Gamecon 1, wich is way cheaper and you can plug that one into your soundcard.

These are the black death upon your ears. The strap consist of a hard piece of plastic folded so that its two sharp edges cut your frikkin ears off. -- Top 5 corporation improvements as requested by CEOÆs |

plantronics are great, never had a problem with them.
As for the setup, i prefer press to talk rather than voice activated. Means that if i sneeze not every1 hears it. Personally i use left ctrl now that they removed the ctrl = zoom feature

I've got the Plantronics Audio 90 which is basically the 500 without the built in soundcard.
It's fricking awesome, one of the few non professional headsets I've ever heard that actually has decent bass.
