So, I have been playing this game for a very long time. (2003 to be exact) I have never really taken an interest in the market, mainly because I was really young when I started. I took a 3 year break from the game and now I'm back and have taken a serious interest in the market discussions. (ie. been lurking and searching for 2 or more weeks at the MD forum hardcore)
and you are like... and now your back, from outer space, I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face.
no but for real. I am curious as to what different 3rd party programs you more experienced market goers use to help aid and improve your game in playing different aspects of the market.
Anything useful and constructive welcome here. Thank you for your time.

I use several programs I made myself to meet my own needs. Only pre-made application I use is the eve-mentat and any dependencies it has.

NavBot is a small, really useful application for finding good trades. The only downside to it is it doesn't always try to keep your cargohold full. It's still great to quickly search the market to buy low and sell high, and it sorts trades by ISK/jump.

Thank you for your replies. I had not heard of eve mentat, im am going to check that out next time i get on. I don't have the necessary skills to code my own programs though, i have to rely on others.
I have used navbot, thought it was pretty neat, but i lost some isk using it because others read the same info and can be jumping on the same opportunities at the same time. But then I am new to this so its my mistake. Any suggestions?
Ive also used eve central which is kinda neat too, but info can be outdated quickly.
One thing about having MCAS certification in excel. I have actually always used excel for different things in eve. it has always served me well, ill probably create a new template for my market dealings.
might i ask how you use excel?
