Would it take to get CCP to take their heads of out the sand <--- see what I did there! and give us some decent answers as well as what I feel is well DESERVED compensation for these daily **** ups.
1000?
5000?
10,000?
If CCP was a company with morals and that actually DID strive for excellence it would be just the 1 account, because everyone is important right?
CCP are getting this so so wrong and whats worse as already stated by one of my fellow Eve citizen is that Blizzard [WoW] servers dont act this way.
Where's the commitment gone CCP?
Where's this excellence you speak of?
Your losing right now and its so freaking sad because this game has so much potential and hope. The things you could do is mind blowing if you'd stop treating this game as a test bed for your other projects. We dont have to play but we play and pay because we like Eve. WE DO NOT WANNA PAY for WOD and DUST.
You are driving this game to its absolute death now so take heed and read this post because its how we all feel [I hope]
Get a grip, sort it out.

I doubt that they would listen to any number of promised unsubs. Claiming that even 1 should be enough is a fairly dumb idea. You will never please everyone, and if you try, you'll end up pleasing nobody.
Talk is cheap, actions speak louder. I see claims of unsubbing as bull**** and view it like a tantrum from a 3 yr old, something to be ignored. CCP should continue what they are doing and look at hard numbers for guidence on how they are doing, not ravings of the lunitic fringe.
As far as how stable servers are, WoW servers do indeed act the same, and even worse (anyone sitting in a loading screen trying to get into the raid instance just to have it kick you out because the server is offline, knows what im talking about). I find Eve to be pretty stable and online a great majority of the time it's expected to be.
Get over your sense of entitlement and what you feel you deserve. I'd like you to point out where CCP made promises on how much uptime the servers would have and use that to make an argument on how you deserve more than what you have received. If you feel like you are not getting what you payed for, quit paying. No need to say that you are quitting, nobody cares. CCP will see it where it really matters, on sub numbers for the month. If you don't plan on quitting, STFU.

I think CCP (as well as many here on the forum claiming Incarna had no impact on active users and/or subscriptions) need to stick their head OUT of the sand(box). And no, it is not simply because it is summer: there are way less active players than last year.

Mr Epeen
Some were appeased by the joint statement and re-subbed... didn't you read the thread? Some subs have months left so the ppl still play... Is that so odd? Personally this char ends on the 20th and my other a few days later. I've not played eve since the **** hit the fan because i just can't be bothered any more. And here i am posting in the forums
You see mr peanut just because someone says they are leaving doesn't necessarily mean they will disappear on the spot. But that's obvious to all but the dumbest of eve's fine players.
You need to give it more time to see what level of effect players leaving has on the game, if any. who can tell at this point.

Sadly it would take a hell of a lot more than are going right now. They're still raking it in, and that's what pays the salaries (of the WOD and Dust developers).

Promised unsubscribes mean nothing. Actual lapsed accounts do.
If I felt I had to unsubscribe as a matter of principal that same feeling would prevent me from loggin on as well. Otherwise you might as well be saying "I'm never shopping at that store again, this meat I bought is spoiled, but I'm going to eat it anyway because I have it".
You pay $15 (or Euros) for 30 days game time
That's 0.50 a day, or 0.02 per hour.
I have not counted the crashes and reboots, but lets say there have been 20 of them and they each lasted an hour. CCP. Then owes you about 40 cents of lost game time
OH BOY, how are you going to spend it?

Edited by: Pai Nax on 17/07/2011 17:27:35 The war is over. CCP won.
While I believe that the player's excessive reaction caught them by surprise, it is my feeling that they took the reaction into advisement and kept chugging along as before. The number of actual sub cancellations is still very small compared to threatened unsubs; and still smaller compared to valid subs.
Eve is cyclical. People come and go and then return again. Many will resub at a later date because this game is simply too good and there is no other game like it. (Perpetuum does not count since it is new and mostly made up of unsubbed eve players)
The war is over and beating a dead horse will not get you any gains. Only frustration and heartache.
I don't plan on unsubbing my 2 accounts any time soon.
Posted with my main for maximum effect.

Generally, when posting "evidence" that something has damaged the userbase, it helps to make sure that the trend is drastically different than historical numbers.
It's not.
