Kind of like giving away that special shuttle when they were pushing the box set. Mr Epeen I pay monthly so there would be little benefit to me, and this would be for NEW accounts only, not resubs. and yeah, giving away items that people had to buy is tricky... well there is no implied exclusivity on nex items, they could be given away tomorrow (of course all hell would break loose) but the idea is the player is still spending more cash than you spent for the item to get it, A year of sub is a nice chunk to fork over, its not like everyone who tries eve gets monocle. but if Hilmar and co maintain that this stuff is what people want they should put their nex items where their mouths are and see if the desire for this fluff can drive up sales of the core product to new players and not the current plan of selling colored icecubes to eskimos SWG... well they just farked everyone over with their rewards program at every chance they got so they're a moot point and believe you me, giveaways wasn't the magic bullet that got SWG, not by a long shot

But for Eve, I have my doubts about it, I do not think it will bring in more subs or entice players to extend their subscription- Free ships like the Zephyr did not do that either, as far as I know, so why would a pair of virtual jeans? Still, it would be a funny perk.
