I agree with the OP that new players feel TOTALLY irrelevant and without purpose or power.
Even in a Corp with soveriegnty and the ability to fly a Retriever...I can't even budge the industry level to 1 after a whole day of mining. I mine about 5000 cubic meters every 15 mins.

then go out and shoot some of your alliance/corps enemies. Get blown up a few times.

sure, this is a good idea.... IF and only if ccp fully refund me either ISK or $ú$ú$ for all my subscription time. Now for the 2004/2003 players thats going to be alot of isk or money so really not seeing this happen

while i agree its fun to start over after a burn out (my mains are 7 - 6 years old respectively, 2nd character slots 2 and a half years old and created for a break, 3rd only a few months old) to force a server wide reset would be a v bad idea, v bad indeed. |

That would be some grind - everyone mining and ratting in their noob ships until someone get enough skills, ISK and minerals to buy the BPO and build the first frigate.
Wonder how long it'd take for the first battleships to reappear.
I guess the key would be to get the biggest noob ship gang to try and make some decent ISK early on.

How do you figure? You as a consumer are paying for a service. That service is entertainment, and over time, the service you have subscribed to has built value. I'm sure there would be some justification, or grounds that would hold up in court. Trust me, you can sue for anything these days.
