Edited by: Spacemanc on 17/07/2011 02:34:58 OK i dont seem to be able to buy GTC for some reason. Its happened twice now over a week apart. I get the emails and messages through but they are like this :
Quote: Secure EVE Time Code Exchange
EVE Time of bid: 2011-07-17 00:38
Hello Spacemanc
****** wants to sell you a 60 day EVE Time Code for 700,000,000.00 ISK.
If you want to buy this EVE Time Code, then follow this link: https://secure.eveonline.com/ETC You have 48 hours from the time of the bid to accept.
When in fact they should look like this with a custom link:

Hello Spacemanc
******** wants to sell you a 60 day EVE Time Code for 650,000,000.00 ISK.
If you want to buy this EVE Time Code, then follow this link: https://secure.eveonline.com/SecBuyEtc.aspx?s=603541&c=2635AB9B You have 48 hours from the time of the bid to accept.
There is nothing whatsoever on the account management site, and when I petitioned about it, I waited a week for a reply, and was then told:
Quote: As long as the ETC offer is still present and was not rescinded, you should have the option to claim it in account management
It isnt there! There is no option! I'm pretty sure that for some reason I'm not being sent a custom link. Anyone else have the same problem, or know what the problem is?

This is the new Account Management site, it changed some time ago.
Have you tried going to the drop-down menu of "Services -> Trade ETC" ? Your offer should then be toward the bottom of the page.
I hope this helps.

The "Trade ETC" section is for selling. I want to accept a ETC sent to me - there is no option for that as it is supposed to be a custom weblink where it automatically appears.

This. Trade means buy/sell.
When an offer is sent to you, the offer will appear at the bottom of the page.

What happens is that if the Seller rescinds the sell offer then when you log in and check the "Trade ETC" page it'll have nothing at the bottom. That is the issue you're running into. What makes it irritating is that there is no notification, message or even a graphical image of a raised middle finger to let you know that the Seller rescinded the offer.
IMO I'm thinking of being a rather huge jackhole by buying a GTC and then rapidly offering/rescinding the sale to just to muck with people until CCP gets around to actually fixing this irritating nonsense.

From the replies to my petition, it does appear to be a problem, and not a rescinded ETC. A rescinded ETC would not be able to change the original e-mail, which should have a custom weblink to the trade.
Anyway while the GM tries to sort this for me, the trade has once again passed the 48 hour limit. If anyone would be good enough to sell me another 60 day GTC for 700 million I would be very grateful. Hopefully the GM can accept it for me before my account expires in 2 days!

I've bought 5-6 GTCs in the last day or so and each and every single email I've gotten from CCP has read:
Quote: If you want to buy this EVE Time Code, then follow this link: https://secure.eveonline.com/ETC You have 48 hours from the time of the bid (2011-07-18 14:35) to accept.
Not one of them has had any link remotely like:

*shrug* it's CCP so who knows what they're up to.
