You should do the same as with other ads - ignore them.
Chribba, who runs the site (but not the ads) once stated he's trying to keep them out, but can't quite keep up.

EVE Search isn't really a CCP property - although it adds a lot of functionality somewhat lacking from the official forums, it is a volunteer site done by Chribba for free.
He uses Google Ads to help him support this. It may require him to pay CCP an annual $99 to keep doing the Ads, see separate Dev Blog for more details. And Google Ads sometimes (actually, frequently) place ads on EVE Fan sites that lead to offers that will break your EULA. This is because for Google, Greed is Good, see separate CCP corporate Newsletter for more details.
I believe Chribba can disable certain kinds of Google Ads though, so now that his name is in this thread he might take measures to prevent this from happening for the next few days until a new Ad appears he hasn't yet blocked.

Like said before, I have very limited control over what ads are shown on my sites as Google is the one suggesting adverts based on content of the site and user's browsing behaviours. I try block off offending sites when I can, but new ones come up every now and then and I redo the process.
So by all means do report such ads so I can block them off as I don't sit and refresh my pages myself 50 times per day to see what new ads are likely to be shown.
Thanks!

Can't really expect Chribba to keep up with the adds on his site when he really doesn't manage them. Plus you don't really need that add to find bots, there are plenty of websites offering them for free lol.

If you cannot manage it, you shouldn't be running the adverts.
No special treatment here, reported for supporting botting.

Ban policy
"An immediate permanent ban of an account may result if: " "f. A player has created, distributed or advertised an illegal 3rd party program (i.e. macro or cheat program) that disrupts game mechanics, is considered unfriendly or gives an unfair advantage by misusing game features in a way for which they were not intended."
He broke the rules and should be banned according to the rule clearly stated by CCP.
You're not talking about Chribba are you? If so, what's wrong with you? I think that yellow text is getting to your head! Chribba's awesome! And if you're reading this, you've fallen into a signature trap. You owe me 1m ISK. |

Are you saying I can selectively not follow any rule that I choose? Please confirm CCP.

Chribba, you should add a "report" feature on your sites that allow people to send you screenshots of banners like this. I believe it will save you time and will help to keep your very useful sites free of this crap.
And people, i didn't mean to blame anyone, or report anyone, or get anyone banned. I've even painted the site address on the shot, so it wont break forum rules.

First you can organize free for all file hosting, EVE-O forum mirroring and search service. Ads-free ofc and you must pay all fees from your own wallet. Then you can open your mouth and talking **** about Chribba. Not until then.
Reported you for being brainless idiot.

<3 Miilla.
You've got a naughty little idea there, although I suspect it's not very original.
If it was, you could shut down about every EVE Fan site. No big harm done of course - it's not like EVE isn't dying anyhow and you're just pushing in the right direction.
Also, the Forum Drama that'll erupt if Chribba gets banned over this is probably worth another month of popcorn.
Popcorn. I just love my popcorn.

Ofcourse most don't, that is why they farm with BOT's as we can clearly see here via his ADVERTISMENT of BOTs.
This also shows that CCP does indeed infact SUPPORT BOTTING if they let this advertisement be continued without a ban.

Hmmm much as I hate to say it Milla has a valid point here.
Ask yourselves this :
If it wasn't Chribba would you all be fine with it? Would you be fine with a well-known scammer and alleged RMTr running a site that had bot adverts running? I suspect many of you wouldn't and nor would you believe the site owner if he/she said they were trying to stop the ads.
As it stands the site breaks the EULA that the owner signed up to. Is there intent? No. Is the site owner aware of the problem? Yes. Is that enough for a ban? Probably not in this case but its a pretty grey area IMHO.

No, it does not mean they support botting, nor does it mean Chribba does since he said, and does, take them down as he finds them. You didn't think my signature started until after the line did you? -------------------------------------------- Inclina ad gigas turtur, qui tenet universum. |
