Edited by: HELLBOUNDMAN on 19/07/2011 13:19:42 Right now we mine ore and the lasers say we're mining m3, but the asteroids only show units and not m3.
So can we make it to where the ores diplay how much m3 they have worth of ore as well as units?
It would really help to be able and tell when exactly to shut off my lasers cause a roid is depleted.
It's a bit annoying to have to do the math and to have to do the math individually for each ore.

You are lacking math skills.

Not everyone can be a mathmatician, and too be honest I'm trying to play game, not go to work.
This has bothered the crap out of me since I started playing eve. Would just like it to be more game like

I have two words for you:
Google Doc.
Here are the formulas you need:
To find out how many m3 are left in a rock: units in rock * m3/unit
To find out how many units you are mining m3 mined per cycle / m3 per unit
You don't even need to do the math. You are now reducing your effort to roughly the equivalent of one monkey eating fleas off another. --Vel

Where i'm from * means times, wouldn't it be units in rock / units per m3?
Either way, yes, I would very much like it to be like a monkey eating fleas off another's back. It's a game, I wanna enjoy it and not spend my time trying to figure out the units/m3 or how much m3 is in a roid.
The math isn't the hard part anyway, it's keeping track of the ores and having to do it for every damn roid. I'm a huge fan of scanning to cut down on waisted time.
Besides, it's not like it's stopping macro miners to make it a little complicated.

No, De'Veldrin's sums are correct.
Learn to maths.

Learn to maths.
How does that make sense?
Veld is 0.1m3 per unit, so if I wanna find out how many m3 is in a roid I will do
units of ore / units per m3
So at 10k units
10,000 / 10units per m3 = 1000m3 of ore.
If I use her math which is
units of ore * m3 per unit
10,000 * .1 = 1000
So, now that we both know that my math and her math equal the same thing (I just miss read her math, thought / was division, but in her math it's just per).
So now that we know she and I know math, maybe you can learn math now...
Or maybe you can learn how to write a proper sentence, cause
"Learn to maths"
Isn't working out for me.
P.S. Even if I didn't know how to "maths" my point would be even more firm because I wouldn't know how to figure it out. Either way we don't need a math equation to play a game.

Sorry, I misread you. Thought you'd just replaced the * with /, but it's actually a different sum.
Note to self, learn to reading.
P.S. You've chosen a "career" in Mining/Industry here, it's all about maths. Get happy with spreadsheets and equations or choose something else to do, becuase if you want to make any money, you'll need to be using them.

Actually, I'm mostly a missioner, but on occation my corp and I fleet mine.
That being said, I just want to mining to be a slight bit more enjoyable when I do mine, so I'd like to be able to tell how long my miners need to be on without having to go through a bunch of crap to figure it out.
