Hmm, I didnt care much about freighters and jump freighters and haulers and transport ships etc... Until I realized if you cannot fly a rigged battleship, there is no way to move it (safely ish) from lowsec into highsec without destroying the rigs.
I think the only way is a normal freighter, and you are CRAZY if you do that for a BS!!!
A rigged battleship is too large for a jump freighter to hold. 486,000m3 while a JF holds < 400,000m3 (I think somewhere around 360,000m3?)
I had this problem where I had a golem with t2 rigs in lowsec, and wanted to bring it to jita for selling. I didnt want to repackage and break those rigs!
Black frog couldnt even help me... :(
it would be nice if some adjustments were made to allow a single BS, rigged, would be hauled into highsec from lowsec (or even 0.0).

Get it jumped via carrier to a lowsec/highsec entry point and fly it through the single gate.

What if you can't fly said ship? Either from theft or whatever reasons. Personally I sold my golem toon and was planning on selling the golem and JF'ing it to jita, didnt realize it doesnt fit in a JF!!!

You don't have to be able to fly a ship to put it into the Ship Maintenance Array on a carrier.
Just get somebody you know/yourself with a carrier to jump it to an entry point.

Ya getting it to the entry point is fine, but how you you get it into the actual highsec. *SOMEONE* has to fly it, and its not me and I dont trust a t2 fitted golem to anyone else to fly for me.
Be easier if it could fit in a JF!

Or get somebody in a freighter to move it? Sure it's risky, but you apparently can't get it out any other way.
Also, jump freighters can't jump into highsec so I don't know why you keep harping about them.

A freighter has to jump from a gate INTO lowsec, by stuck on that gate while trying to warp to the station, VERY DANGEROUS. a JF can simply JUMP into the lowsec, next to highsec, dock up or simply warp to the highsec gate, MUCH SAFER than bringing a freighter into lowsec. Plus I can hire black-frog to haul it for me with their JF. Im pretty sure it would cost WAY TOO MUCH for someone to risk a normal freighter jumping into lowsec.
