Hi,
I would like to know if the Heavy drone operations damage bonus applies only to heavies or to all kind of drones ?

And likewise the Scout Drone range bonus applies to all drones.

Heavy Drones doesn't actually affect Light Drones. I just checked in-game.

Don't know how you "checked".
Heavy Drone skill applies to all drones
Scout Drone skill applies to all drones
Tbis has been debated numerous times (too many to count) and at one point at Dev even stepped in and said the skill text is confusing but the skil affects all drones.

When I had them in orbit, I clicked "Show Info" and looked at the damage modifier. It was the same as shown on the market.

That is not the way to do it.

Have the drones shoot at something (yourself perhaps?) and use drones that do EM dmg (since shields have 0% resist vs EM) and you will see that Heavy Drone ops. do indeed work on all drones.

I don't see how this would tell you if it was having an effect, all you'd get is a rough estimate.
When a drone is in orbit, it's being used by me. Thus the skill bonuses should be applied: I see no big difference between a drone in orbit and a weapon that's equipped.

The difference is that equipped weapons are fit on your ship, while drones are independent. Skill bonuses don't appear in the info for missiles or drones.
It's easy enough to see if I'm wrong about this: Launch a heavy drone and see if the bonus shows up for that. |
