Agree in principle. EVE could easily be twice as expansive.
Related: We could also consider removing the "highway gates" that connect the high sec NPC empires. We could also consider doing the same to the nullsec "pirate gates." |

there's plenty of 0.0 and empire space.
point is that all of them have these galactic highways that it doesn't take long to run all around eve. then there's jump bridges, capital hotlololdrops etc. which makes 0.0 power projection over long distances pretty easy once you have cyno networks set up.
and then lets not forget magical jump clones or even just pod jumping lol.
also
WH are not in ultra deep space. you can reach like class 5 wh just couple of jumps from jita through static class 1 wh route etc. lmao. it's so ridiculous im not sure if it's funny.

I think what would be cool, Is new regions that are connected to each other, but not to existing regions, basically pockets of space which you must have wormholes to get there!
Whilst also introducting HUUUUUUGE wormholes, which can handle an ok sized cap fleet.

This is actually a good idea.. also agree on that all 0.0 is pretty much too small for established alliances, power projection is too easy.

* Buff WH's to be the 'new' nullsec * Keep a more fluid step between all secs (0.5 -> 0.4 and 0.1 -> 0.0 not being so massive)
Hopefully it'll kill off the blobbing. There's no point to blob PvP in WH's, even tho you technicly can and occationally will to 'control' a system. For mass- and other reasons it still will be more fluid.
And hopefully people will be more likely to be moving betwen high/low/null if the steps weren't so massive.
Spaceholding in null, blobbing PvP and highsec carebearing all is a menace at this point. Only WH's are really functioning the way EVE used to, and has some entertaining both PvP- and PvE content - for PvPers and industrialists alike.
WH's should be the future of EVE and the 'endgame'. Null can go to hell, way too safe, way too easy to blob, way too rewarding. -

Not sure, I made alot of money in highsec, but there's virtual caps on how much I could do. In null those borders were alot wider. I'd make a few tens of billions in high in X amount of time, while I'd make the same amount of cash in just 10-15% of that time in null. -

It all comes down to the power projection.
I remember when we decided we pay our neighbour a visit we organised replacement ships and logistics a week ahead. Now its just CTA x system and everyone just flows through the jump bridge network to the destination and back to home after the battle.
This leads to tactical warfare overwhelmed by numbers very easily since its very easy with the current tools to move masses around and keep them supplied.
We all agreed that group effords should always be rewarded but not to the point where the size of the group is the only thing that matters.

Agreed, 0.0 sov mechanics needs to be restructured in a way that having a large blob in one point in space is a hinderence to your success.
Perhaps integrating something along the lines of the Incursion beacon spawn mechanic into sov warfare in a way that at the end of a reinforcement timer multiple simultaneous beacons with multiple types of objectives to complete/prevent from completing would spawn and despawn when completed/failed.
That would require the available "Blob" to be in multiple places at once and to move quickly in multiple directions which it could only do by splitting up and tackling them in smaller groups. It would also favor faster sub cap fleets over Cap/Super Cap steamroll fleets.

IMHO, 0.0 Sov mechanics need to get a 'galactic civilization' 4X strategy game like overlay. Just that you don't move NPC fleets around to conquer, but real people. CCP are doing cross genre stuff with Dust 514, so going turn based/real time strategy on 0.0 sov isn't an all too alien idea.
Then again, I'm just a carebear and not supposed to know anything about stuff like that. --------

I say DOUBLE New Eden and make all the new systems new 0.0. Then...TRIPLE wormhole space as a whole. Just make it bigger. I would love to be able to go 200 jumps into 0.0.

No, your guys problem is that you try to control the space. I lived in hostile null most of my gametime. You make alot more money when you don't have to grind sov and/or structures and/or sit in blobs doing nothing for hours. -

Only after they have created semi-permanent gates using wormhole tech that wrap north to south and east to west. Haha camping pipes, "we'll just come through the other way".
