Edited by: Dave Auscent on 26/07/2011 16:17:12 So I have a second account which is finishing up JF training (which is all the account has trained for since Day 1), right now my main is running Level 4s in a Geddon but will be making the jump to Paladin or Nightmare relatively soon. Now that my second account's training queue is about to open up, I am thinking about setting him up with an Armor Logi.
Initially I was going to go with the Guardian, but thinking it over, I was wondering if it would be a better idea to go with the Oneiros considering tracking issues with some rats.
Anyone want to weigh in on which way would be best for me to train?
EDIT: Probably should have specified, but the idea would be to follow the main into missions so I can be more AFK during them. |

While I don't actually fly Logis (yet), I have heard a lot about them and EFTed some.
I believe the general consensus is that the Guardian and Basilisk are suited for gang work where you have multiple of them that can cap transfer cap back and forth, while the Oneiros and Scimitar are more suited for working without a second Logi to transfer cap with but are less effective overall.
If someone knows better, please correct me, but I figured a fast answer that's mostly true is better than none, lol. |

Yeah, if I was going for gang PVP I would definitely choose the Guardian, this is for repping a single ship though, I did the numbers out in EFT and Cap shouldn't be an issue, considering how low the incoming DPS will be. |

Dominix. Dominix can run a solid buffer while still having 4 RR. plus you get drone dps, I find in missions this is god. |

If you want to be more AFK as you say, then a squad booster would be more suitable. My alt's trained and max skilled for a Legion with armour boosting ganglinks and mindlink implant. He gives my main's dps boat a 28% boost in resists and rep amount. He just follows my main into the mission system and sits in a safespot with the gang links running. 28% is a lot. With it you gain lots of flexibility. You can: -Simply enjoy having a better or more cap stable tank; -Use T2 mods instead of expensive "oo let's gank it" faction/officer gear; -Swap tanking/cap stability mods for more dps mods; -Not have to fiddle with your alt's targetting and setting remote reps etc.
It's a more longterm skill-intensive solution yes. But definitely worth it.

Oneiros would be more AFK, you wouldn't have to worry about re-establishing a cap-chain with him over and over. Also, like you said, tracking links to extend your optimal and increase tracking to truly ludicrous levels.

A logi with tracking links might not be as optimal as a domi in terms of maximizing DPS, but it's much less effort and the actual dps - the result of only managing one account and having the above mentioned ludicrous range and tracking - means that while it might not be as fast as a properly dual-boxed domi/dps setup, if you're even somewhat lazy I've got a feeling it's better, and certainly much less attention-intensive.
