I have heard rumors that black ops may become the anti-super carrier ship. I had an idea of how this could be accomplished while adding a new layer of tactics to large scale warfare. Granted, my experience with large scale ops does not extend past the videos I have watched, so this idea may not be as great as it sounds in my head. So, here goes.
If black ops were provided the ability to create a bubble of sorts around themselves that locks down or "stuns" drones that target it, it should greatly reduce the DPS potential of a super carrier. I would expect this bubble would take capacitor to maintain, allowing for cap draining tactics. This would give black ops a role in large fleets, go after the super carriers and hope they get targeted by drones in order to take them out of the fight. It would mean that super carrier pilots needed to be more careful when selecting targets as well. Super carriers would also need to fly with support that can take out black ops effectively (do I see a purpose for dreadnoughts here?). It seems this could potentially increase the worth of fleet tactics while decreasing the numbers game somewhat.
Now I could be completely off on all of this and please feel free to point out why if I am. Positive feedback is welcome too!

I can see it now: "Hey Bob, there is a BlOps on field, and he's got that damn anti-drone bubble up." "Alrighty, I'll ignore the Black Ops and kill the other stuff first"
Sadly BlOps are inferior in pretty much every way currently to their T1 counterparts, which means they're EASIER to kill than T1 battleships. And from the same interview that suggested those ships would be anti-cap ships like SB's... they also suggested using Destroyer's as anti-drone boats. So that's probably not the route they're taking.
I personally have always been a fan of using BlOps like overpowered Stealth Bombers for taking down cap ships. The logistics are nasty enough that it'd probably be a worthwhile route to attempt. Just give 'em really big bombs, and see how it works.

what about rather than having a bubble that does that, it's a targeted device that is like a target dispersed virus, so all drones that the target has launched gets some attribute nerfed depending on a script you have loaded. so you could nerf the tracking, or MWD speed, or any of a large number of variables that affect drones performance. this would mean that any gallente on the field would not be immediately screwed and you could use it like a primary target thing where the target you are taking down gets all their outgoing DPS screwed while they are getting blown out of the sky.
something else that could be done is that since it is on a cycle it could have a low chance absolutely disrupt the link between the ship and the drones for the duration of the cycle if you have the proper script loaded. during this time they would just go berserk and start nuking whatever happens to be near them kind of like FOF missiles. and after the cycle is over and as long as it does not get caused again, the pilot regains full control of the drones and they go back to what they previously were ordered to do. would add some interesting possibilities to a massive blob fight since if it went wrong the FBs might take out someone on their own team in the time they have disconnected from the ship.

I don't like the idea. Black Ops has a role or two already... The super carrier question is an opportunity for ccp to add a new ship class and at least 4 new models.

I like that idea. There are warp scramble generators that can encompass an entire jump gate out to 15+ km away. Why not have a module that can completely make any drone useless? It would definately make B/O ships capable of doing more than just bringing a fleet in using an undetectable jump point. Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up!"
