Heck no. I LOVE the change. Before I had to zoom way the hell out otherwise the sound from a dozen lasers was just deafening.

Me too. The change is a huge improvement. The lasers look a lot cooler and that noise was just irritating.
Now that they've fixed the mining lasers, I wonder if they could fix mining profitability?

New strips are fine. But I would like them to emit some humming sound, not to rough like th old ones, but something to indicate they are working. Armor shatters; Raven`s shadow obscures my sight; Capsule cracks. - Khanid Death Poem. |

The sound was not a problem and yes I'm underwhelmed by the new laser beams.

The old sounds fit the job perfectly. The new "sound" is utterly impotent.
Out of curiosity, for those who thought the old stuff was too loud, did you ever go into the Audio options in preferences and try checking the "quieter turret sounds" option? That seemed to work pretty well for me when I wanted a bit less noise. __________________________ Obi-wan only felt that way about Mos Eisley because he'd never played Eve Online |

Thats what is missing lol. Was wondering about that. I like the new change. However I am not opposed to it being made an option. I would also like to see the beams have different colors based on the type of crystal you have. This would reflect the different type of energy needed to get to that type of ore. The colors could be something like this, yellow for veld, blue/green for scordite, etc.etc Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up!"

Nope too lazy. I liked the cheater method. zooming out. it's a lot quicker. as sometimes i like the louder turret sounds. I often thought about hooking it up to a concert amplifier. But the apartment management would get upset when they got complaints about guns going off. Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up!"
