so im looking for some good sciences news sites, google just keeps turning up links to new phones or PC parts im looking stuff more along the line of stuff about space and things like advanced sciences rail guns, space travel, solar panels, particle colliders, and any other science stuff.

Hm. I frequently visit MaximumPC and MaximumTech.

Kurzweil AI - Focused on Neuroscience mostly: AI, Singularities, Philosophy of Mind, etc. Ramona is fun.
Wired has a pretty good site.
Peter Watts' Blog My favorite author has a blog. Lots of seriously interesting discussions to be found there.

Holy crap, he went through the ordeal of the flesh eating bacteria. When I first visited his site and saw the topic of "Vagina boy" and and then viewing the picture, I almost immediately thought "That must be one of the flesh eating bacteria" but I figured it couldn't be that.
