Can you transfer or sell Aurum to other characters? If not, why? Its just another currency.

It wont make me spend anything, apart from spending any Aur I get for free on vanity stuff.
If it can be transfered form one toon to character to another it means my main main will have better stuff while my lesser mains dont get anything. So ideally Id liek to be able to send it all to my main main...

"For security reasons" you can't trade it now, supposedly though, you will be able to in the future.

No. Because it's been bodged out in a rush to try and clear down some of the PLEX liability.

What are you afraid of? That it will corrupt the playerbase and make them completely addicted to buying virtual boots? And then what? It will kill your spaceship game? Undock button stop working?
Quit your tantrum, go take a walk and realize this is not an issue.

Opposing something and having a discussion about it isn't 'having a tantrum'.
If you wish to use any remaining Aurum on your account the only option available at present is to convert more PLEX to Aurum, hence you are forced to spend more.
Your nitpicking is tenuous at best.

I think you're missing a crucial aspect. In that you and a lot of other people don't want to spend your Aurum, you actually don't have to. From what I hear they're not going to automatically make you buy boots. If you don't want to convert PLEX don't do it.

The OP was asking a general question about Aurum. It has nothing to do with anything I might have said in another thread about this Fridays Aurum injection. ~~~

I'll save them until the walking in stations works effortlessly and I can jump and run and dance in public concourses in stations.
Then I'll want a straw hat and cane and emote that sings "Tip-toe-thru-the-tullips"

They forced people to create new portraits/character models. They forced people to use CQ (temporarily stopped that, but we'll see how long that lasts). Just you wait... one day, you will try to log in and they will force you to buy a pair of boots!
Ok, I don't actually think that will happen, but it would be funny in a twisted kinda way. ;)

Pretty certain I've heard more than once that hats and canes and stuff won't be included in the vanity store. Just boots / pants / shirts / jackets and eye-wear.
Of course, odds are against your ever being able to jump, run, or dance in stations either... so the other bit probably won't really matter =^_^=

I was actually only 1/2 trying to be funny (well maybe failing if you don't like sillyness)
A light 3d client where you could hang out in a public spacehall busking or exchanging wise cracks ... goofing around while without taking cpu use away from other games or clients you were playing simaltaeneuosly could really really be a lot of fun and good content that people voluntarily opted to leave their ships for.

look here in the patchotes
Quote: We are temporarily prohibiting the transfer of Aurum between characters. This is done for the sake of a slower, more secure implementation of the feature while the initial economic impact is being analyzed.
Fun fact: It worked on Sisi about 2 weeks before Incarna came out. Sit back, relax and see what happens.

I'm unclear on how this "Giveaway" Helps the playerbase that actually wants to pay to rent exclusive pixels. Doesn't this kind of defeat the elistism created by these items? Wasn't the whole purpose of making them so expensive?
I'm so confused, guess I'd have to log in to figure out how this is gonna help the game....
