In the event of Global Thermonuclear War... why are the EVE servers located in London? Doubtful they survive a nuclear cataclysm, are there backups?
Further Questions: + I have satellite internet available in my area, will it keep tickin'? + What can I do to protect my EVE account following the apocalypse? + Would there be a SP reimbursement for survivors on a new server? (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST) |

Because everyone needs to update the skill queue while riding out Armageddon in their bomb shelters.
But I'm sure they are hardened ...or I hope so. You know, hardened to protect from an air burst/EMP or CME/solar flare. Not too hard to do that. |

I hope the Eve Forum is the only record left of humanity after the nuclear apocalypse. The survivors will truly envy the dead. "For example, if you are thinking about selling a Republic Fleet Firetail as a regular Firetail, be sure that the market volume is high on regular Firetails and that there are plenty of buy/sell contracts for Republic Fleet Firetails. [...] The players most interested in Republic Fleet Firetails are going to be players flying regular ones."-á -- PB |

Just remember to put a long skill in your queue before the bombs drop, kinda like patch day. |

Hi, my name is Riot Girl. I have a vast knowledge and understanding of post-nuclear/apocalypse scenarios, having played such games as Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. If you have any questions, I can draw on my experiences in playing these games to aid your survival and the well being of your EvE online account in the event of the outbreak of a thermonuclear catastrophe.

Lol in the event of a Nuclear Armageddon, i doubt that many people will be checking EVE. Assuming that the entire world is carpet bombed. |

Tom you really should ask yourself if you have dug your shelter deep enough, can you see the light of day? Then you're probably not far enough underground, keep digging.

Dude, we don't have to worry about a nuclear holocaust because the Zombie Apocalypse is coming long before any nuclear war. It's already happening, just the major news outlets are forcibly being kept quiet by their perspective governments. Are the test servers also located in London or in Iceland?
If they're in Iceland we're in luck, I can't think of any reason why somebody would ever nuke Iceland. |

CCP should store a copy of current EVE code and a small but working server cluster in an icelandic mountain. Iceland will probably not be nuked directly and is far away from everything else. Survivors of the nuclear apocalypse can then make their way to Iceland and spend the rest of their days playing EVE. Even endless nuclear winter won't be a big deal because, well, in Iceland you'll barely notice a difference. . |

Too much effort, similiar location is already available and it's probably possible to rent space.
