I have 2 accounts that each have the 1,000 aurum gift (thank you CCP and eveisreal posters). Is there a way to transfer them onto just one account? I did some looking around and if there is I haven't managed to find out how yet.

Apparently the code is in the game, but CCP has not activated it yet, at least that's what I conclude form Dev blogs. So eventually we will be allowed to transfer Aurum, right CCP?
Also it sure would be nice to be able to use Aurum in contracts. Then we can have a money changer profession.

You can't. Because if you could, you would immediately transfer all AUR of your alts to your main, and buy something pretty. And CCP doesn't want that. Instead, they want you to drool just enough at that 1,000 AUR to *want* to buy something, without actually *giving* you enough to do so. In the hope you'll cave, convert PLEX to AUR, and get stuff from the NeX store anyway.

I see the tinfoil hat folks have found this thread. what I found is:
"Initially, you will not be able to transfer Aurum to other players. This is part of our initial security procedures rather than part of our design for this system. Once well established, you will be able to transfer Aurum to other players. "

I'm getting the idea that the 1000 AUR is about boosting Nex Store usage stats so they can call it a successful marketing venture at their next board meeting.

It's an upcoming feature, it will cost 1000 AUR to tranfer 1000 AUR between characters

Considering that I'd just started a new character and stopped using my old one, I had hoped aurum was allowed to be transferred between characters. At least between characters on the same account. I've now got 1000 aurum that I can only use on a character I don't use anymore.
