Quick couple of questions mates. I read a couple of guides and threads and the only questions i haven't found answered are these. Granted the third is opinionated but meh.
1. Do moons regenerate their "Minerals" like asteroids?
2. What does Abundance mean?
3. Is it REALLY worth it?
4. Aren't i just plain sexy?

1.) Moon minerals are infinite, from the moment you set up the miner it will keep harvesting until you turn it off or the tower explodes (assuming it is properly linked to a silo, and there is free space in said silo).
2.) Absolutely nothing. Specifically, it will not allow you to use two miners for the same resource, and it does not mean you get twice as much minerals per hour.
3.) Depends on what moon can you get and how long can you hold it for. Low-end minerals will not even pay for the fuel costs, some of the rarest (and most fought for) can yield bilions per month with minimal maintenance. Check the market prices for the minerals you have access to.
4.) No.

I anchored my POS next to a moon in a 0.6 system for the purpose of invention other such stuff. I noticed the moon that the POS was anchored next to produced 3 common elements. From what I know, moon mining and reactions cannot take place in a high sec system, so why would these moons produce these elements? Just part of their nature based on the types of moons they are?

Highsec moons may have resources, but you can't anchor a harvester in 0.4 or above. Why is it so? Who knows, :CCP:.

My own experience:
1 - You have a very little chance to find a free moon with a really good resource in lowsec. (In nullsec - this is another sad story)
2 - You DO need a blockade runner.
3 - My profit from three POSes is about 400kk per mounth, including the cost of fuel. (I buying it.) This is complete titanium carbide production chain. (Silicone diborite is also from Jita)
4 - You need a freighter to carry all thing in hisec. (Without it you shall waste a LOT of time).
If you have freight and blockade runner - it may be profitable. Just prepare to spend one day per week to transfer all THIS between Jita, POSes, etc.
