If the Gallente and Minmatar were to fight Amarr and Caldari, 1 of each sub cap ship (T1+T2+T3 (No Capitals)), all skills maxed out to level V, which alliance would win?
No ships allowed to warp off and repair etc, assume that each fleet starts on grid at 100km out, fight to the death, last ship / ships standing wins.
Discuss.
....I'm leaning towards Amarr + Caldari because Gallente are borked with hybrids until they can close the distance, while caldari can use missiles but I'm not sure if it as obvious as that.

Ah, a stealth Gallente whine.
Gallente don't have to use blasters, and 100km is easily within the optimal range of a decent Gallente railgun fit battleship.

None, it would wind up with all 4 stealth bombers staring at empty space waiting for the other one to decloak first >.>
More seriously, probably caldari, because the rook + falcon can shut down enemy high value ships long enough to tip the balance. Might have a few problems catching the leftover nano'd minnie stuff tho.

I've always wondered what a a hundred or so drone boats with support could do.

Gallente ships can damp the Caldari ECM ships' targetting range, while their drones keep attacking even if the ship gets jammed.
There a multitude of possible senarios.

Minmatar would erase each and every race from the strategic map, that simple.

We should have this as a TQ event with every pirate ship being their own pirate group

Edited by: Terrorform on 07/08/2011 13:58:35 I'll put in another condition to get round the a possible stalemate due to stealth ships.
In the event of no visible ships appearing on grid due to cloaking devices, the alliance that fielded the last visible ship wins.

HML Drake Fleets would financially cripple all other empires.
Caldari have no viable fleet battleship so its really the only option.
But at a nearly six to one ratio against abandon fleets it is game over.
