I found this site this morning and decided I would run it after downtime. So as soon as dt was finished I logged my tengu toon in and cleared the first four rooms. One of the 'overseer' ships there gave me some cool T2 salvage and it was on to the last room. I warped in my tengu and started shooting elite frigs and dessies, after those were gone I started working on the building. Because of the low tengu dps and the high shield recharge rate it took me about an hour. When it popped I went over to the can to go check the loot.... And it was just the box.
Now, I know it's entirely normal that you get nothing out of these sites if your unlucky, but I ran this site twice already and got both times no loot at all. Also, some corpies explained to me something about a broken loot table and that it's normal for that plex to drop nothing and I should just skip it. I got this plex only twice so far, but I did the 7/10 about 6 times and got only 2 times no loot other than the box (even got a mach bpc once). So my question for you here is: Did you get loot from that specific complex? Is it all nonsense that the loot table is broken? Did I just get really unlucky?

Was that 'box' thingy an OPE ( Overseer Personal Effect ) ?
If yes - then it did drop *some* loot.
If no - then it's apparently broken. Rated DED sites should always drop an OPE in the final room ( sometimes they drop additional OPEs in other rooms ).
Either way, DED8 drops are usually terrible for me. From what I can remember, I had about ten in Serpentis space lately and only one dropped something else than OPE ( it was Vindicator BPC ). Other sites seems to have better chances to drop something. |

yeah, of course it did drop the box 
it's just that, the 7/10 takes 40 minutes for me to complete, while in the 8/10 I'm shooting the overseer structure alone for an hour. And the loot from the 7/10 is better than the loot from the 8/10 (I've already got a mach bpc there and a c-type xl booster). If you report that 1/10 times you get something, maybe there is indeed something not completely balanced? In the 7/10 I can take a tengu fit with a small booster and tank everything, while in the 8/10 I need an x-large or a priest to tank it, only to get 70mil overseer's effects? |

Yes, as I said it *seems* that DED8 is terrible with drops while other sites are not. It's much more common though.
I remember other people saying that Sansha and Blood DED8 is the same.
Of course random is still random. Maybe we are just being trolled by RNG while doing this site
Have you tried aggro switching on that station?
Requires two ships.
You need to get aggro from the station on the first ship.
Warp in second ship.
Warp out first ship.
Station switches aggro to second ship and stops it's insane repair. Takes much less time to kill.
It works in Serpentis DED8 but I can't remember if it worked in Angel site, did that long ago. |

You can also stop the repair by just burning out of range of the torps. I did that, but there's still the high shield regen rate coupled with the 50% shot defender chance, so that halfs your dps + 40% kinetic resist + 80hp/sec recharge on its shields, and to be able to fit tank I used 5 launcher setup, so I only had like 500 dps
Now, since apparently the 8/10 plex sucks, 10/10 is too difficult to solo (and doesn't spawn that often at -0.4 truesec), and ther e is no 9/10, I would be better off exploring lowsec. Or searching for the 7/10's out there |

don't be stupid. angel 10/10's are very solo-able if you have the right ship.
a vargur WILL solo this plex with a commandship boosting .
I am almost certain my mach can do it once I plug in some HG crystals.
oh yes... most of my mach bpc's and shield boosting mods come from the 8/10 |

In a two week period I ran these 8/10s about 50 times which I feel is a fairly good sample, overall loot was good, lots of hardeners a few boost amps and 12 Mach Bpc. All in all was about a Nyx worth as prices where back then so the Plex defiantly isn't broken, just be prepared to have runs of just the ope. I've had times where I got 3 Mach Bpc in 3 consecutive Plex as the RANDOM loot tables imply its random ;) |

Loot drops are random. You win some you lose some. Dont like it? Then exploration might not be for you.
Sure it may take you an hour but your soloing a complex meant really for a team. Want it to go faster?
Then get a friend to help you and stop thinking about the loot just for yourseof. A friend will not only speeds it up but let's u run more sites faster. Giving you a better chance at loot.
Alternatively get an alt for additional DPS for the hard plexs. |

I did run this plex once when i was in my previous corp with a corpmate,and it dropped the mach blueprint and some modules. Not bad.
I have to say i see it happen regularly with 8/10 plexes that drop only the overseer effects. I think about 50 to 60% of the Pith penal Plexes i did have that happen. So its pretty normal you get only that if you run a few. |
