So, I've been going to Wacken for a few years now. Is there anyone else that has been going? If yes, what was your most memorable gig (assuming you remember it)?

I was there as a VIP. My pals band was playing Mother Of God. Man did I drink beer, crowdsurf, mosh and passout.

I'm more of a Metal Camp person. Same bands, better scenery, fewer crowds, and it's much closer.

Absolutely, seeing Judas Priest was pretty cool - 2 hours and 15 minutes for the old dudes on stage, that is pretty impressive.

I wanna go to Wacken so bad, but I can't afford the trip across the ocean.
I did hit 70000 Tons of Metal last year, and already have my ticket set for this year as well. You should check that out.

2011 is the first one I've missed since 2003.
Awesome festival. Nothing else like it.

So far I've been unable to go due to lack of funds, but Wacken has always held a special spot in my heart. Germans, beer, big fat hairy metalheads, the works.
I believe 2 years ago Emperor played Wacken, last show ever. I would have given my left ßnd right nut to see that.

My favorite was Ministry in 2006. The best concert I've ever seen.
Also, Bloodbath with Mikael +kerfeldt singing in 2005. Also, Gojira in 2010 - amazing concert.
