So I am looking at which ship to use for webbing for C5's to allow dreads to smackdown sleeper battleships. We do have ganglinks for interdiction maneuvers available, though we don't have a mindlinked pilot or one that can run them from a claymore or loki.
So far I have considered using a bhaalghorn or using an armor/webrange loki, both with 4 extended range webbers. Would one of these ships webbing be enough to allow the dread to wtfpwn the sleepers, or is there another ship that works better for that purpose?

i believe you can get a fully fitted loki for less than the bhaalgorn hull... then again, i fly neither ship

Edited by: Aamrr on 12/08/2011 11:01:40 This is reasonably cheap and very effective. It's got some pretty wicked resists and the EHP is solid as well. If you're looking for even more effectiveness, you'd have to go with an actual Rapier, but they can be a little squishy.

No propulsion and 3 small nosferatus? Are you serious?
For the OP: Use Loki or Rapier w/ 4 slot armor tank... -
I'm a nice guy!! But plz hook me up with some pew pew... |

With the range on a boosted loki, why exactly do you need propulsion?
And it's not there for damage, 3 nos lets the cap keep running if he gets neuted.

lol we use shield huggin with duel fed navy webs...as long as the triage carrier keeps 1 cap rep on him or all tengus keep reps on him..its fine :s
Also that loki fit is ****ing horrible

Propulsion doesn't really do much good when you've got 3-5 webs on you. I'd rather just have the extra ewar support.
Regarding the high slots: what else are you going to throw in there?

Loki hull costs about 500mil (give or take), and a bhaal hull costs around 900mil. However, the bigger question here for me is less the cost of the hull and more can it survive 14-28 sleepers pounding on it. The loki does get better resists, but the bhaal has alot more buffer. Additionally, the bhaal has a lot larger capacitor, and can fit heavy NOS to provide some cap while being neuted, but the loki has a much smaller sig radius and can sig tank the battleships. However, I'm not limiting myself to just those 2, so if another ship would be effective, I want to consider that too - I just haven't been able to think of another ship that would be effective.

How many capital escalations do you have going? Our biggest worry is getting it instapopped if they all decide to primary the webber, which is why we didn't really consider the minmatar recon's too much. And what does that huggin fit look like if you don't mind me asking?

we do triple cap escalation and the huggin takes the sleepers no problem..as long as the triage carrier is awake and knows what he is doing, nothing to worry about.
You dont have need RR tengus with a triage carrier, the carrier keeps them a liave just fine. Also dont know the fit, I dont pilot it...i fly RR tengu

we are using 2x rapiers in C6 hole. No probs when using carriers for logistics.
