Billy Lajambe	Posted - 2005.02.28 13:48:00 - [1] ok i think i messed up. I createda cahr and think i forgot to select asny skills or add any points. I have like 8 of all my traits and 10 willpower. Did i not dd in my points. And my skills started very low and takes long time to train?

If your char is older then 3 months i'd stick it out, crappy and all. Altho even then remaking it would in the long term be better. If not, remake it, no matter what youve trained already. Go for: memory> perception> intelligence > willpower and make sure to have as few charisma as possible. Say make memory and perception the highest two, with intelligence and willpower close seconds, and charisma as low as possible (go for 4 to 6 max). Amarr characters are good at getting low charisma, caldari as well. This is assuming you're either not entirely sure about what you wanna do, or in case you wanna learn good fighting skills at some point. Always take the custom route rather then the premade character creation route. If you know what you are looking for try getting some skills at lvl 3 or 4 from start if possible. Training up the skills you wont get in that case to the lvl 1-2 you'd have gotten em at is much faster then training that caldari frigate lvl 4 from 3. good luck. _______________________________________________ Yes yes, blogging is passÚ I know. Adn i awont leave my battle cruisor for 3 more weeks In that case, since in those 14 days you dont seem to have trained up any learning skills, get the perception, memory, intellignece and willpower learning skills adn train them up to lvl 3 or preferrably even lvl 4 first. With 14 days of play you have no chance of being able to do anything decent with a battlecruiser. You are looking at 3 months of training to use such a ship with any effectivity. Use the fact that that time is going to be used anyway and start those learning skills. Learning skills are the most important key (with attributes) to getting faster character advancement. Lorth	Posted - 2005.02.28 15:10:00 - [10] Sure you can, just make anouther charactor on the same account. Use that as your main playing charactor and post with billy. Or... delete billy, and then make anouther charactor with the same name. Also you can make sure your have all your stuff by makeing a restricted escrow to your 'self' and claiming it with the new billy. If you have crummy attributes, and I think you do, then you'll be much better off making a new charactor.
Falbala	Posted - 2005.02.28 15:30:00 - [11] It's ok Billy your character can be a little gimped but it is not the worst case lol. I play with 4 base memory and I can deal with it. If you want to reroll it is fine too, you will get back those 300k sp in no time. And with high charisma you will train leadership skill faster to lead your troops to the battle^^.
kwoodward	Posted - 2005.02.28 15:42:00 - [12] 14 days is nothing make another char as an alt and just see ow much faster he trains, trust me you DONT want level acorss the board attributes. i learnt the hard way by the time i realised it was WAY too late like 3 mill sp in. long time ago now tho Meow!

I had no clue what I wanted to do when I started (heck I still don't) and balanced is working really well for me. -Dewar ---

OK well here i go. I was so happy flying aroung in my destroyer when my corp gave us all money to refit the ship so here i go back in a ferox... AGAIN. WEll this tiem i have the skills for heavy misiles so i get thtem but i run into a problem. I need 4 capatisors and 4 coprocesors to use all 3 heavy launchers but i only have 4 lowslots. so is there anyway to get CUP and power without traqining the skills and without putting things in low slots? Thanks.

Thanks. 1. Preview your posts please and sort the typos 2. Train 'engineering' to get 5% grid per level. Train 'electronics' to get 5% CPU per level. Train 'weapon upgrades' to reduce turret and launcher CPU needs. Both engineering and electronics are skills you will want to train to lvl5 asap once you've brought your basic learning skills to 4. You might aswell take a look at some implants. There are implants that can reduce turret cpu needs by 3/5% but they're pretty expensive. Mai's Idealog
