Mercenary contract
This contract describes the terms for a mercenary Contract for the destruction of 20 POSes in hisec for a price of 40 Billion ISK. Interested party please mail me with a description of why I should hire you (killboard, size of fleet, etc). If the contract is too big for your corp, but if you want a smaller bit (say 2-5-10 POSes, please also write).
1. Parties involved
There are 3 parties involved: - The Customer û Rothgore û paying for the destruction of the POSes - The Mercenary û XXX û destroying the POSes - The Trusted Third Party û Darknesss û faciliating payments on destruction and resolving disputes
2. Targets to be destroyed
The POS to be destroyed all large towers, some well fitted (lots of electronic warfare and guns - some are very poorly fitted). The POSes are owned by 11 different corporations that have no relation to each other.
Serious parties who write me will receive a list of the type of POSes with their set-up. If we reach an agreement the Mercenary will receive a detailed list of corporations and exact POSD locations.
The Mercenary will have the opportunity to review these targets. [table #1 û POS number, POS location, POS type, Corporation name, payment per POS]
3. Definition of destruction
The contract is for the destruction of these POSes. A mere removal of the POSes by the owner of the POS does not count as destruction. Destruction will be confirmed by a) physical inspection of the POS location showing the POS is gone, b) a killmail send by the Mercenary to the Customer and the Trusted Party.
4. Timeframe
The time frame for destruction of the 20 POSes is 8 weeks, so on average 2,5 POS per week. The Mercenary has freedom to plan the destruction of the 20 targets, as long as at least 5 POS are destroyed after 3 weeks, 10 after 5 weeks, and 15 after 7 weeks (and 20 after 8 weeks).
Failure to meet this time frame by the Mercenary means that the Customer may cancel the rest of the Contract (i.e., those POSes not yet destroyed), although the Customer may also accept a slight delay and continue with the Contract.
5. Payment
The payment for the total Contract is 40 billion ISK. The payment for each POS individuallywill be described in the deal I reach with the Mercenary. The payment process works as follows:
a)At the start of the Contract the customer transfers 41 billion ISK to the Trusted Third Party: 40 billion for the Mercenary and 1 billion for the Trusted Third Party.
b)After a specific POS has been destroyed the Mercenary sends an evemail to the Customer and the Trusted Third Party with the number- and the location of the POS destroyed (e.g., ôPOS #4 at Vuorrassi P9-M2 has been destroyedö) and in that same eve-mails gives a link to the killboard showing this specific kill
c)The Customer verifies this kill û through a combination of physically checking whether the POS has gone and checking the kill mail. If the Customer is satisfied he confirms the kill in an eve-mail to the Trusted Third Party d)The Trusted Third Party then transfers the payment for this specific POS to the Mercenary and mails a confirmation of this payment to the Mercenary and the Customer
6. Disputes
In the unlikely case that the Customer and the Mercenary can not agree that a POS has been destroyed by the Mercenary the Trusted Third Party resolves the disputes. He does this by checking the physical location of the POS (ôhas it gone?ö) and by checking the kill mail (ôhas been destroyed what was expected?ö). He then decides whether to make the payment to the Mercenary, or not. Both the Customer and the Mercenary will accept his judgement.
If more than 1 dispute arises the Customer can cancel the remainder of the Contract and will recieve the remainder of the upfront payment (minus hi

...you realise it is the customer giving the third party money, not the merc, right?
also interesting fact, the s tag stands for strikethrough.

I think Roth's been through every merc unit capable of killing a large tower with no luck. Poor guy.
My advice would be alter the contract so mercs arnt in contract violation for something they have no control over (POS owners removing their ****) and offer more money (2b/POS for hitting more than one well fit large tower a week for several weeks in a row is just not worth it) ---

You have to realise that killing a Large POS is almost as "good" as mining, especially a heavy ECM POS. So 2bil for a POS like that is a bit short. The timeframe you ask for taking the full contract is also short. I have serious doubts anyone would be willing to spend 8 weeks shooting at POSes (2-3 per week).
The contract violation because the owners decide to remove the POS is also unfair for the merc party, like Alek said. The mercs don't have control over it so why should they be penalized? At least define a small fee for POS removal without destruction.

This contract is rather unrealistic. Given the cost of ammunition and time spent trying to take down each large pos... Hardly worth it unless you're using a full amarrian fleet. Even then 20 pos in 8 weeks? Not accounting for reinforcement timers this seems like a bum rap which benefits the customer not paying the mercs in the end.
This contract is set for failure.
Set sail to fail!

Various sets of towers are currently being checked by interested mercs. Very happy to entertain offers for subsets and flexible on timeframe (I understand that hitting 20 POSes in 8 weeks for mid-sized mercs is not feasible). I hope that some of the mercs I start working with now become 'trusted parties' for continued POS hits

Hello everyone,
I have been asked if I would secure a mercenary contract for the take down of multiple large POS's in return for ISK.
I do not currently hold this ISK however, if a party does reach an agreement with Rothgore I am more than happy to help secure the contract. Should this go ahead Rothgore has arranged to pay my fee separately.
Regards

Hell I don't know who he is either.
That being said if you have two brain cells you can do research and use common sense to see that he is a known player who has a trusted (As much as you can trust in eve) reputation.
