Link to still-existing thread so we can compare with eve-search archive to verify how accurate your "helpful guide" was ?
Also, yes, they could have made a mistake. Like, say, the post right above or below yours could have been the one needing the ban but accidentally gotten yours. It can happen.
But that kind of stuff happens via petitions first, only then on the forums, as a last resort, if all petitions fail.
THIS kind of reaction of yours CAN get you banned for good and for a justifiable reason.
