To all of Merciless Alliance,
I normally don't respond to posts like these, however, I feel compelled to do so to clear the air as to why Havoc Violence and Chaos left the Merciless Alliance.
First of all let me say that we had a lot of good fights, fun and some not so fun fights (whelpings), but, that's all part of it. What really matters is that EVE is, after all, a game that allows folks from all over the world to get together, build friendships and fight the good fight against like minded folks in other locales. At the end of the day everyone should feel a little bit better after the EVE universe allows us to escape the day to day pressures and drudgery of real life.
For those of you in Merciless that we fought alongside, thanks and keep up the good fight. We here at HVC enjoyed our time there with you and as a whole you're a great group of guys.
HVC decided to "pull out" of Merciless, we were not kicked out by Garst as he may allege since most of us, except for those who were on "Holiday" were already in empire space with our assets long before we were removed from the comms and forums.
There are two real reasons HVC decided to leave IMO:
1. HVC is a PVP corp that actively recruits a wide range of folks to blend into and make us what we are. With our numbers while a part of Merciless we did our part and got more than our share of kills period. Unfortunately, in the end things slowed down so much in Venal we simply couldn't stand any more of the boredom. After all out corporate motto is "WE KILL ****"
2. Garst Tyrell and a small minority of the alliance who, instead of welcoming what HVC brought to the table, smugly rolled up in their own perceived air of superiority and arrogance and chose to do their best to ridicule us at any available opportunity. Yeah we have noobs who make mistakes, have fail fits, and, in general do stupid ****, but, guess what, so does No Mercy. You just don't want to admit it. Garst, a word to the wise from someone who is probably old enough to be your father. No one doubts that you're a skilled FC with better than average PVP skills and knowledge of game mechanics, however, you've got a very long and uphill struggle at becoming a true leader for your alliance. NO LEADER will ever succeed as a leader and gain respect as a leader without giving everyone the dignity and respect they deserve. Ranting, EMO raging, calling people out, public humiliation cause folks to "lose" whatever respect you may have gained and in the long run they'll "GTFO". I really do believe that you do mean well, you just don't have the interpersonal skill set and maturity that only time can give you and you take it way too personal. Always, when the pressure cooker starts and you feel your temperature rising, BITE YOUR TONGUE, don't step on your own ****, DON'T disrespect people and above all remember, IT"S A GAME!!! Nobody is going to die and the sun will rise tomorrow.
