Like CCP ever cared about that.
No, blowing stuff up is actually an incentive for some people to buy more isk through plex. Banning the guy would probably less profitable because without him, less stuff blows up, less people are inclined to buy isk through plex.
CCP never cared about people speaking their mind, it's not like they have to act on anything anyone says, they simply ignore people they don't want to deal with on the forums + they can't reply to everyone.

I am already aware that you don't know. I was aware about that after reading your first reply to this thread. I didn't do anything with the information.
Now. If you don't have some knowledge, it really doesn't mean that someone else couldn't be more enlightened.
Ofc you can keep replying with more brilliant nonsense and show us how many ways there is prove you don't know answers to questions what I am asking.
Now be a nice troll and hit the reply. We want more entertainment while waiting for the educated people to reply with facts. |

The POINT is that NOBODY TRUSTS ANYBODY with the Prize Ships and the monies involved anymore.
Helicity had built up a trustworthy reputation when the game was early-on and was a natural fit to organize such a thing.
Unfortunately the game is so Dog Eat Dog and scam oriented now, that it is literally impossible to trust anyone with the distribution of those prize ships.
Remember, CCP has nothing to with the event itself or the prizes.
EVE philosophy of TRUST NOBODY (and that's a fact) has killed off any future potential for these types of player events.
Sad but true.
I for one certainly would not donate a ship as a prize right now, no way, no how.
And from other threads, that's pretty much the general concensus.
Also, you are over 50 days late on this topic.
ENOUGH.

lol waiting for her to troll you cause this is after all useless, off topic info. Let the thread die, maybe that will prove the point and make it through the wall of stupidity Honestly though, I answered it without really trolling, only to BE trolled BY YOU girly, so you might wanna check the mirror for that troll label. Plus ppl that dont agree with you arent trolls. Well not to everyone.
Im rather curious as to how much of the money involved was embezzled lol (oh by the way the /tinfoil thing was a joke hence the /tinfoil rofl)

I don't see a difference between this and stupid mindless griefing.
This was simply an income generating event for Hulk producers. That it leveraged griefers was just a side show. So, stupid- yes, mindless - no.

with you a 100% I said once when they mentioned this hulk killing event to me and I just recommended they make an event of killing NPCs.
I mean really going after indy ships that have 0% fire power just for a killmail, should just make an event about ganking shuttles. While they are at it they could also gank a noob's navitas and a few bantams. absolutely pathetic.

yup, blew the whistle on the T20 deal. Cause ****ing off CCP is against TOS and we all know also, every name of every person who ever violated the TOS/EULA's names are banned from the forums for years afterwards right?

Actually, i think CCP's mods are quite lenient compared to most other game forum moderators.

The purpose? Helicity used to claim the event was to demonstrate the economic realities of EvE, i.e., ships being blown to bits is an economic engine. Helicity would then point to kill mails as proof Hulkageddon was working. But when I looked at sales of Hulks (directly affected by the event) and mineral/ore sales (indirectly affected) the alleged increase was only a minute and wimpy blip on the sales-over-time graph. Helicity would claim that those who stocked up on minerals and Hulks could cash in during and after the event due to the deficits of these resources created by the event. Again, only a wimpy blip on the graph. Lastly, all the kill mails only amounted to a wimpy blip on the graph as it seems whacking Hulks is a 23.5 X 7 endeavor.
Now, I had a lot of fun during the event by scanning down grav sites in Hi Sec, warping in with three of us in Rohks, locking any Hulks we found, then watching them scatter for safety. Mopping up the tasty ore was optional.
I'm sure people will flame me and say that Hulkageddon was indeed an effective economic engine. But the data does not correlate and the null hypothesis reigns supreme in this case.

+1 for accuracy.
This is very true that H'geddon had next to no effect on the economy. Hulk sales do increase, but the competition to sell quick keeps any additional profits down. The only thing that gets affected is Ice prices that skyrocket for the duration then immediately fall.
Including Transport ships last time did not stop PI from going, as it was not affected at all.
It's a fun event, but really made no significant dent in the market or anything. It's also not really THAT big of an event. 4000 ships removed out of the game is not EVEN a drop in the bucket. At least HALF the players don't even seem to be aware the event is even going on. I was a month old during H'geddon 2 and had absolutely no idea till I lost an Osprey then a Badger I back-to-back in Archee. rofl
H'geddon is thought provoking, but ultimately INEFFECTIVE in it's announced 'purpose', which was ultimately just a lie.
It's all about Pew-Pew. Period. And. Final. **************************
