I am about -6 or something with Amarr and wish to gain enough standing to fly in the high sec systems again for incursions.
How do I gain that standing? I cant mission even for lvl 1 agents or can I?
Because of the Navy getting me?
Any help would be super appreciated.

You can train up Diplomacy. Apart from that there's various Amarr NPC corp that have agents outside the Amarr systems, and doing missions for caldari also (slowly) helps your Amarr standings.

Maybe you should ask the person you bought this character from, he's been flying a proteus and doing level 4s so I'm guessing he knew how to use Google.
(from your post in March) Posted - 2011.03.17 21:22:00 - [10] Proteus is awesome for all lvl4s, don't listen to these guys.
It has a monster tank with the nanobot injectot subsystem.
6 Heavy Nuetron blasters means nothing gonna live long enough to even put any hurt on you.
Yes it has travel time in missions but thats what MWD are for and @ 1500 MS nothings too far away :)

Edited by: Shadow Cluster on 21/08/2011 10:59:25 I had the same problem. You need to get above -5 to go to Amarr space without getting shot by the Navy. -4.99 or higher is your goal. Train Diplomacy to lvl 4 or lvl 5 as that will improve your adjusted standing. You can only use lvl 1 Amarr agents with your current standing. Find a lvl 1 Amarr agent in high sec that is outside of Amarr space. They do exist and there are agent finder web sites that will help or try the in game agent finder.
Grind the lvl 1's until you get the story line mission. Only story lines affect the Amarr standing. Don't accept any missions from other agents that are against Amarr and keep in mind that running Minmatar story lines will also reduce your Amarr standing a little even if they are not against Amarr.
To get from -6 to -4.99 your gonna have to grind a lot of lvl 1's. I can't rember what I started at but I had to do about 90 of them to get my standing back in good shape.

Depends, OP : is that -6 base standing, or -6 effective standing ? And how high is your Diplomacy skill level ? If you haven't already, get L5 Diplomacy ASAP - it's a rank 1 skill, so L5 should take at most 1 week.
Linkage -> Linkage
Since a good while ago, access to low-quality L1 agents was opened up regardless of standings. With the quality removal, all agents have become Q-20 agents for agent access purposes, so now, ALL L1 agents are always accessible regardless of standings.
You don't necessarily need to run missions for Amarr themselves - you could just as well run missions for "friends of Amarr": * Ammatar (best option, 72% derived gains), * Caldari (50% derived gains), * Mordu's Legion (30% derived gains, 0.0 agents, no issues with accidental faction navy spawns) * or even Khanid (pretty weak, just 4% derived gains). _

Firstlt stop running missions against Amarr and caldari. Then whizz over to Arnon ( in gallente space) start the lvl1 epic arc ( in a cruiser you should be able to complete this in a day). towards the end you are offered who to fight for, choose amarr and on completion you will get a faction standing boost to amarr.
Google and find De Michael crimson's faction standin repair plan. It is a truly great peace of work. I got from -8.99 with amarr to being able to fly there AND run their missions in under 6 months

There are Amarr agents in Gallente/Minmatar space too. Your best bet is to use the Agent Finder or go to Eve-Agents.com or a similar site and find a level 1 amarr combat agent or whatever mission type you want in Gallente or Minmatar space.
Alternatively, although this could be more risky, but if your running level 1 missions in a cheap destroyer/frigate or something then its probably not an issue unless you have expensive implants that might be at risk, then you could mission in lowsec instead. ---

If you are below -5 to amarr with Diplomacy 5 this is the quickest option:
Originally by: xXThunder StruckXx ... whizz over to Arnon ( in gallente space) start the lvl1 epic arc ( in a cruiser you should be able to complete this in a day). towards the end you are offered who to fight for, choose amarr and on completion you will get a faction standing boost to amarr.

One slight problem with that. The SoE level 1 Epic Arc requires travel into all Empire Factions high security systems. To travel safely without being attacked by Navy NPC's, you need to have your personal security status above -2.00 and all Empire Faction standings above -5.00.
Akita T has linked how to fix the standings in her reply, one of those links is the thread that xXThunder StruckXx referred. However, I'm sure it didn't take him 6 months. Most players can enter enemy Faction space within a week after working the 'Plan'.
