Is it me or does the EvE is real website suck beyond comparison... the search bar for entry video's doesnt work, neither do the category buttons ( oh they wwork just fine.. they just dont do a flipping thing)
I tried in several browsers and evrything fails... anyone else having this problem? If so.. GJ ccp in creating a marketing tool that shows people just how bad you can be when it comes to programming.

It has about the same coherency, usability and reliability as the EVE UI.
Went there once, randomly clicked around, got nowhere, left. Never bothered to go back there again.

I don't know how true it is but I was told in another thread that the website was developed by a third party. Regardless, you're right, the website is quite broken and it's hard to navigate.

the thing is... i started working for an IT company 2 month ago without any real knowledge... and i even i can wouldnt dare ever letting something like this see to my customers... its a joke, if our external marketing consultants would come up with this i would probably sue them for professional trolling ;)
edit: test alliance vids are genrally pretty good.. that one however. made me cry from laughing.. and then i went to see a doctor to get my ears reattached

The problem is, CCP hired ELITE THIRD PARTY DEVS. Ones probably responsible for the flash based websites of other OMG PWNAGE VIDEO GAMES. Unforunately what they fail to realize is NOBODY likes these horrid flash websites.

i do, the site works fine.. just cant actually FIND any video's or sort em properly. also... browser shouldnt matter, not if you want to be taken seriously

A dev stated that it was by a third party after complaints of the sites design became staggering. So whether it's true or not IDK.

I agree with the OP to some extent, the eveisreal website have room for improvements.
It's bit sluggish (but looks cool) and that background music is annoying to some.
I'd rather have it be fast/functional, with fever animations.
Also I have a decent comp and Internet connection, but all those who don't I'd imagine have more problems with it beeing sluggish.

Its not horribad, but its almost there. Some sort of ordering for the images would be good, as currently they seem to reset in a random order after you click one for closeup. Browsing through the images is total hell.
edit: I think they actually managed to update the page, as there was time when the music couldnt be switched off! Now it can.

"Eve is real" is such a dumb slogan I just assumed the website would be worthless. That and the fact all their previous efforts have been.

The site seems to work fine for me (IE9). But I did notice that after watching a dozen videos or so, since they're just linked via Youtube, and people put ads (google ads) on them in Youtube...I'm seeing lots of RMT ads on CCPs own site.
Maybe CCP should cut off support to that site and engage lawyers to send a cease and desist letter to the EveisReal folks? Their office is probably just down the hall, so I don't think it would be all that much hassle.
Or is this CCP's backdoor way of endorsing RMT going forward?
EDIT: and yeah....the background music is annoying...it's like mySpace has risen from the grave.
