What is the stance on using CCP's models, textures and sound effects in mods for other games? Full credit to be given of course :)

It's to be decided on a case-by-case basis. There are a couple of projects that have CCP's blessing.
Two points should be self evident: 1. Full credit. 2. No making money.

Depends on if you want to make money on it. If the site you post it on makes RL money then you will have to buy one of those $99 commercial licenses.

There is actually a really cool project were a player is making a Freelancer mod turning it into the EVE Universe. Like Reeno said you need to give full credit stating that the images and sounds belong to CCP hf and the mods cannot be sold for money since you are using CCP's intellectual property. So making a Dues Ex mod where you shoot Hurricanes into Avatars or whatever for free should be cool.
If you want more in depth details you can start with this page, although it is tailored to Fansite but covers some of the same ideas. If you need more detailed info for specific questions you can email [email protected] or file a petition under Other Issues -> Community and your question can addressed in a more specific matter.

So, if i understand you correctly, as long as i don't make any money from it and there's a big copyright sticker slapped on the box, i am allowed to use the material?

Would that include using EVE models in a StarCraft 2 custom map? SC2's map editor has all weird EULA **** that you'd expect, that says something like "WE OWN YOU. KISS OUR FEET." How would that integrate with CCP's policy? _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

I'd not heard of this. Is there any info you can give? A link? Anything? This could make me want to play FL again since that was my poison before EVE. I often joke that had I known about EVE when I started playing FL, I'd never have played FL but that's beside the point. FL was good times, good memories.
