Quote: He can't win an election on the black vote alone. The US will survive and Obama will be remembered as an unqualified 'affirmative action' president.
It's refreshing to know that racism is still alive and kicking in the U.S.
Not going to take a position on the OP but I would love to know where the racism comes in...please explain for those of us that don't speak your particular dialect.
Was it the term "black vote" or "affirmative action" that put it over the top in your mind? Is any time you speak of the American president in negative terms, because he is black, racism?
If American blacks condemn a white American president is it also racism? Does political affiliation matter? What happens if a white leftist speaks ill of a black conservative? What if it is left on left or right on right?!?!
Explain please...
Thank you

If I say I couldn't care less about President Obama because this is a space ship game forum does that make me racist? |

It's the same reason people slow down while passing a traffic accident, something fascinating about such events.
Well, unfortunately, as America goes so does the rest of the world in this global economy. Listen carefully at your window... I bet you will hear tires screeching...

"Abusive ad hominem (also called personal abuse or personal attacks) usually involves insulting or belittling one's opponent in order to attack his claim or invalidate his argument, but can also involve pointing out factual but apparent character flaws or actions that are irrelevant to the opponent's argument.
This tactic is logically fallacious because insults and negative facts about the opponent's personal character have nothing to do with the logical merits of the opponent's arguments or assertions."

Was that Ruby the Heart Stealer? Didn't see the pics, but heard about the "scandal".

There are arguments made by the republican potential candidates that are good, and I somewhat agree with (fiscal responsibility, ect). However, much as I may agree with these arguments, many facets of these candidates social views I find offensive in the extreme (notably views on homosexuality being an abomination, an outdated viewpoint in a country where the majority of the population believes gays deserve equal rights.) While they make good points, other aspects of their political stances ensure that I (and a good portion of independents) would never vote for them.
Simply put, it's not their economic policies that are un-electable, but their social ones.
2012 in America will be all about the fiscal, from what I have seen from looking at polls etc. For better or worse people vote their wallet.
As far as homosexuality...its here to stay...better get with the program people!!!!!

The whole crisis was caused because republicans refused to balance the budget by raising taxes or cut spending to America's biggest expenditures (medicare, military) out of fear of the extremist segment of their constituency.
The only thing extreme is your ignorance...
In America:
Social entitlements= Democrat's "sacred cow"
Military= Republican's "sacred cow"
I wont take a position politically in this debate (reminder: this is a space ship game forum)but I can't abide abject stupidity...sorry...

The rest of his criticisms were purely political and entirely acceptable, whether one agrees with them or not, he was the one who brought up color.
Are you naive enough to think that racism just suddenly disappeared because MLK said "I have a dream."?
Racism does exist and it can be a terrible and violent situation (whatever race it effects). The term is cheapened by overuse.

"Black Vote" describes a voting demographic...
It is similar to referring to the ...white vote...women's vote...Jewish vote...hispanic vote...union vote...goon vote...gay,lesbian and transgender vote...
I think you have to dig a little more to justify the "racist" accusation...just my opinion.

"I can't abide abject stupidity, now listen to my insipid reduction of the American political system to a two sentence generalization"
thanks bro, good contribution
The only thing reduced here was my estimate of your IQ. Please continue to illumine us with your analysis of American politics. You managed to get just about everything incorrect in such a limited amount of space, I would love to see what you could do with a treatise.
Do continue I think the moderators have the night off...

It seems rather wasted on illiterates such as yourself.
illumine [ɪˈluːmɪn] vb a literary word for illuminate [from Latin illūmināre to make light; see illuminate] illuminable adj
I want to tell you that you just proved my original statement concerning your "abject stupidity" and then say something about giving you enough rope...blah blah blah...but I don't want to hurt your feelings anymore so I am just going to keep those feelings on the inside.
Instead I will bow out gracefully and tell you that you won.
Nicolo...I'm sorry..you were right all along. Good night.

P.S. Just a quick edit to teach Nicolo another word...
