Who:
Me. That's Gess. Loraine Gess, if you prefer.
What:
Trading. More specifically, market manipulation. Pump and dump items with a limited supply, but a large demand. Within reason, of course. Got to watch that profit margin.
Oh, and a little bit of flipping high volume commodities too, probably. Wallet flashes have become one of my favorite things about this game.
When:
Immediately, pending reservations or sendings of isk. One month duration, investors may not withdraw isk before the end date. Anything I'm missing? No? Good.
Where:
Jita, with possibly a little dabbling into the amarr market. I've been testing the waters, but it's much slower paced than jita, although the margins are wider and supply more limited.
Why:
More funds, more reserve. Market manipulation is a fickle thing, and it's entirely possible for someone to dump stocks onto the market at just the wrong time. Thus, reserves are necessary to absorb or mitigate possible losses.
Additional funds also open up opportunities which may otherwise not be available. More options is always good.
Previous bonds:
200m at 20%
1b at 15%

-A wild badger/mutant/cow/bull/wildlife tramples/devours/mauls/eats me.
-CCP closes down, or whatever the popular doomsday scenario is nowadays.

Unfortunately, I am still unwilling to release my API for personal and security reasons. If you are curious as to the exact reason, there was a discussion in my first bond (linked in the OP), as to why.

There isn't the risk that you lose significant amount of isk because of a market manipulation? What course of action are you going to take when someone dumps a weeks worth of goods down from say Amarr just to crash your margins or take advantage of you buying them out?

You're still singing that same tune? Do you now believe the new ID and verification codes for each api key you create correlates to a your username even though once again no proof has been presented?

The isk I am asking for is so that such an event does not wipe me out. As I stated, there is always the risk of somebody dumping goods on market either to be a jerk or compromise profit margins.
As for the API questions, I am not sure what you're asking?

The brand new shiny customisable API system which allows one to release some information but not others, so (for example) if you didn't want to release EveMail but were happy with everything else then you could. Shameless self bump of a thread discussing this over on the new forums. And official full info over here on the main eve online site.

Snuck in on the 1.1 patch. I know it's been on the cards for yonks but yeah I personally figured implementation would be sometime after the next ice age.
And I'm not a Sir. Not yet anyway. Apparently Services to Pedantry & Procrastination are insufficient qualifications for a Knighthood these days

You never stated that as a risk. You listed the obvious "I won't scam you" reason, what seems to be oh so unique of being harmed by some unrealistic thing, the burn out excuse(the same as "I won't scam you") and something else that's unrealistic.
Infact you didn't state a single REAL risk to investors that isn't obvious to them. Instead you left out the most obvious risk that an investor may factor into market manipulation because they may think it's some god send skill.
The reason you shouldn't throw your API key out for this venture is the exact reason you used right now. Not because you *think* the API key correlates to your eve online accounts username. That is what I meant by you singing the same tune and continueing it with the new API key system. If you aren't among the idiots who think the API key can be reverse engineered to reveal your username. My bad!

From what I can tell you have reservation for 3.5bil in your thread.
Have the bond changed?
Who is your current investors?
How do I know you aint just trying to cash in with mail on as many as possible?
I would like to hear from Ellarya Sand if she stepped down or if Brollox had a different agreement on mail for only 1 bil.

Hey Tom,
I was a bit wary myself but I gave the guy the benifit of the doubt, mybe I will get burnt maybe I won't but we will live and learn. Time will tell.
Below is the eve mail I received and took it on face value.
Having filled the last part of the bond ( http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1574787&page=1#13 ), sendings of isk may commence. If you have any last minute questions, now would be the time to ask them. Please be aware, that if I do not receive your investment within 3 days (not business days :) ), I shall seek a new investor in your place.

Yep. Apparently I do need to go back to preschool. I had assumed the math was correct given the nature of Brollox's post, and did not bother to run the numbers myself. I have returned 500m to Brollox as of this posting. The bond has not changed, the investors are:
Ellarya Sand - 0.5b
Tom Hagen - 1.5b
Brollox - 1.5b
Brollox, if you are not okay with this agreement, please post here or contact me via evemail. I will return the rest of your money should you wish, due to the ****up on my end.
If there are any further questions, I can be reached via evemail and this thread. Thank you.
EDIT: Even screwed up on the investors list in this post. Fixed now!

I too should have paid more attention to the offer of 500m on above post, so dont fret it!!
I can confirm I am more than happy to continue, even after a few minutes if slight panic and lose of faith in human nature :o)
