Is it possable to run 2 accounts on 1 computer at the same time or do you need to computers to run both accounts at the same time?

It is possible.
I haven't done it in a while, so I don't know if they fixed the sun occlusion problem. In the past, if you had sun occlusion on and did something that would put it into effect, the other client would crash. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Use two most of the time, have no issues at all with it.
Single install of eve, just run it twice.

It's entirely possible, I run two or three clients all the time. As long as you've got a half-decent system spec, it shouldn't be a problem. _____________________________________________ The most pessimistic sod in Eve, and proud of it

I run 3 accounts simultaneously on my pc, a 3ghz Intel, 1g ram and a asus ati x800 pro card, with not much problem at all. So it is highly doable, it all comes down to your pc specs really.
My old pc was a amd 1.6ghz, creative 9600Pro, 512mb ram, and it could run two clients with relatively ok.

I ran both 2 and 3 clients. Once I ran a 4th when I got on the test server but then my comp almost threw a fit :p

I reguarly run both my accounts at once. I usually have no problems, sometimes one of them will lock up for 10~20 seconds but I put that down to my lack of RAM (512mb).
As Eve is a fairly low bandwidth game it's more dependant on your system spec than your connection, I'm on 56k and don't get lag even with both clients running around/checking market/escrow etc ___________ ~Fredbob~

As already posted....Yes you can. Main choke will come IMHO from memory. Count more or less 128/192 Mb per account. Regarding graphics, it runs smoothly even on a GeForce II Mx, so I think you shouldn't have problems on this side, especially if you don't run any of the accounts in full details/full screen. Always remove the Occlusion in the Graphics tab, on both accounts. You can also disable sounds if you don't need them. Be sure to run games on 2 different drives if possible. It really improves stability and speed/loading. (\_/) (O.o) (> <)=Oveur (proof) "Jumping 50 systems I can like, have sex 150 times during that period" |
