Ok, here it goes...
When i play eve i have fun. Yes, there i said it FUN. I like mining with my corp, the constant chat, the banter, i like finding rival corp members unprotected and alone...:)
I like receiving mails off ppl i have obvioulsy ****ed off but have no clue how, and them trying to hunt them down for answers. I like killing NPCs and hunting for PCs. I like sitting in space chatting to someone ive never met before.I like warning noobs to stay away from my cargo, and them scaring them off. In fact I like EVE, i really really enjoy it....
So why my title?
I hate coming to these forums and reading all the negative comments. I know you are entitled, and that i can just ignore them if i want, but i just cant draw myself away....
I hate reading the comments and begining to feel that maybe EVE isnt any good, maybe i am wrong, confused -afteralll everyone tells me so....i ahte the fact that MANY new ppl will read all these comments and choose not to play...I hate the fact that no matter what is done some ppl hate it and some love, and boy do they have to tell us about it....I hate the fact that reading these forums makes me feel like EVE isn't fun to play, that ppl don't enjoy it, and that it is crap......
BUT then i go home from work and switch on my computer...my corp are there waiting, i chat, we mine, we threaten noobs, i get some new equipment, some new skills, and you know what ..........I LOVE IT.

Heh, I know what you mean.
I am starting to wonder if trawling through all this negative soup each day is good for my general happiness.
Reading these forums is kinda like watching a car crash is super slo-mo. Fascinating at first, but rapidly becoming appalling... yet you can't quite tear yourself away!

I see a lot of haters around here, but after going through a good handful of game forums, most of it rolls off my back. Of course, I'll chime in now and then with my charming British wit, and fondness of scones, but it doesn't affect how much fun I'll have in game.
and lol @ Brock.
I get the feeling that some of the negative people here are the type that would put a brick through your front window if you didn't return the ball they kicked through your upstairs window... ie. going about it all wrong.

Seems like people frusterated for one reason or the other are more likely to post their message, than someone content and actually *gulp* having fun and enjoying the game.
So I don't think the stuff seen here is necessarily representative of the whole Eve population. :)

I can't help but agree that the majority of the reasons why people would posts things is cos they have an opinion about something, and most opinions that people want to vocalise are negative.
But what is with you guys who just like to take things personally ? Just simmer down and you'll start finding that people are alot more helpful to your requests.
Addmitedly you won't get so many random replies cos it's not so controversial, but to be honest when all I read is "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH it's their fault" my first human instincts scream...prat.

The people complaining are probably the very noobs you've been bullying. I hope you decide to stop playing or try and bully someone in real life and get battered.

Hear hear and spot on to. last night there were 6000 players all hating the game so much they just had to stay logged in to make sure :) I think hating the game and complaining about nerfs and inbalances are different things though. We need to complain about them so as to get them better balanced :)

How can you take this post in a negative light, im mean WOW. And i mine in a lowish sec area and if a noob tries to steal my cargo then YES i will bully them away....or anyone in a smaller craft than me for that matter :)
Everyone else,
I agree entirely - the only problem i see is that, if like me, people come here before choosing to buy the game and only see negative remarks then they are less likely to play the game, which i think is a shame as they may well miss out on a good experience.
From now on, if you like the game, MORE POSITIVE POSTS PEOPLE :)

he didn't just "threaten noobs", he threatened noobs that were going after his cargo container. It's self defence.

Well he didn't say anything about stealing cargo in his initial post. Just "I like warning noobs to stay away from my cargo".
Noobs are curious - just because they come near you doesn't automatically mean they are going to try and steal your stupid cargo.

Melik pal calm down no need to get defensive there, and by the way if I've spent two hours harvesting loads of ore into a canister I'm gonna ask anybody to "step away from the cargo". This is my in game liveliehood that somedoby is likely to take from me.

In that case sorry :). I meant those trying to steal my cargo - although flying near and circling it is normally enough for a warning :D....they're like rats you know :)
