Gallente one is pretty much spot on; could be a bit more melty. Amarr needs a complete redesign because really, who was that lazy?

I can't make my mind up about the Minmatar one at all. Perhaps a full rack of rockets/missiles would balance it better? Gallente one is intriguing  |

Love the Caldari U-Boat and the Gallente ships is. . . well it's a Gallente ship so no comment. As for the Amarr, I like the look, but it looks an awful lot like the coercer; having design similarities and being a lookalike aren't the same thing. The Matar destroyer is awful; Minmatar ships aren't supposed to be all that pretty to look at, but the flying junkyards are supposed to have some charm; a good Matar ship is ugly in an A-10 sort of way, awesome enough that you just don't care.

I vote make it less like a brick (more open of build maybe) and move the solar panel things to be more like how they are on the tempest, or even better, one on the top and a few at an angle off the bottom to give it a look reminiscent of a shark. |

I actually like the look, and am training light missiles (already have Rocket Specialization to IV) for that and the Caldari dessie.
I was really hoping the Gallente and Amarr ships would follow the "WWI" theme the others have going, not entirely impressed with either on the looks but I've been shying away from drones recently anyway. vOv

I don't find the Minmatar destroyer appealing at all. It would be passable except for the block sitting on top where you'd expect the turret of an archaic self propelled howitzer to be.
The Caldari and Gallente destroyers are pretty cool. The Amarr one is too much like a Coercer: even the other Amarr ships which share design cues squeeze some differences in, such as the "face" of the Magnate vs Omen vs Prophecy vs Apocalypse.
With all due respect to the artists involved, the Minmatar destroyer is awful. Of course when you zoom out enough it's just a broken square icon like the rest of the ships in the fight, so the poor industrial design isn't going to stop me using it. I will feel dirty every time I fit one in station though.

I don't see why people are hating on the Minmatar one?
Smooth out that too-blocky cockpit/bridge part up top and it's just right.
ORE Frigate's still the best, though.
There is a fine and proper artistry to wielding verbal scalpels, such that the crap-poster you've slashed doesn't even know they've been cut.
But verbal bludgeons -- Those are just fun. |

I like the Amarr and Gallente dessies. (And it'd be nice to have an Amarr dessie that doesn't suck.) The Gallente one is a bit too Buck Rogers-y, maybe, but that's just me.
The Caldari dessie just looks weird to me. Maybe I just need to see it in-game. It might grow on me, like the Moa did.
The Minmatar dessie is just plain fugly, and it could displace the Rupture as the ugliest ship in the game. Which is sad, because the Thrasher is, to my mind, one of the coolest ship designs in the game.

Love the Amarr boat, although I do agree that perhaps the front could be tweaked to look less like the Coercer.
Gallente and Caldari hulls are decent, look good but nothing remarkable.
The Minmattar... thing... is just downright horrible in the looks department, which is a damn shame because stats-wise it looks to be a great fun heavy interceptor rocket spewing beauty. |

The Caldari one in my opinion is just plain sexy . The Amarr dessy look way to much like the Coercer, please CCP make it look different as the one there looks pretty much like the coercer has spent to long in the gym.
Cant really decide on the Gallente one, most Gallente ships are horrible in my eyes bar the odd few e.g. Megathron and the Hyperion.
The Minmatar is truly horrible and i would go as far as to say that you should sack whoever designed that piece of junk, or at least put him/her on a graphic design course. Honestly the redesign of the Stabber and Tempest look really good, why cant this.
Right now i only want to see that Minmater dessy when it explodes.
Caldari - 9.9/10
Amarr - 7/10 (could be 8 or 9 if it didn't look like the coercer)
Gallente - 5 or 6/10 cant be sure until I see it in space
Minmater - -10/10 just please get rid of that crappy design and make something better.

I know I've said this in other threads but, I have to say it again: the Minmatar destroyer looks like a damned brick with a pillbox stuck on top and a snowplow attached to the front. It's atrocious, lacks imagination, bears no resemblance to any other Matari ship design and... did I mention that it's just downright ATROCIOUS?
Come on CCP! As awesome as the new Stabber and Tempest are this new destroyer is nasty! Please rethink this ship. I never thought you could design something so awful that it makes the Moa look sleek and sophisticated but, damned if you didn't.

The minmatar one does not look very appealing.
I don't know what to think about gallente it looks a lot difference from many gallente ships I have flown. It looks more like a space exploration ship than a destroyer.
The caldari destroyer looks awesome and I know I will be flying it in the future.
The amarr destroyer looks cool, but it look too much like the coercer. The front part is the same, it has the same side mounted cockpit. It just looks too much like the coercer to be really a new design. |

The Caldari ship makes me want to find a WWII gaming society. I'll probably just watch Das Boot instead.
The Amarr ship reminds me of a MARTA bus. (MARTA is Atlanta's public transit system.)
The Minmatar ship reminds me of a WWII film of an Iwo Jima flamethrower tank with an optional bushcutter/minesweeper attachment. Also, the WWII tank was much cooler.
You can tell me what is and isn't Truth when you pry the tinfoil from my cold, lifeless head.

The minmatar ship looks like the monitor from the civil war with a solar panel drill taped to the front (ram?)... Terrible...
I'm digging the caldari one and will be buying one just for the looks. The gallente one looks good too. |
