You need to have a couple things first before you can fit/take things off your ship at a ship maintance array:
1) You need the starbase config role. 2) You need to make sure that no one is 3 km (although some may say it's 5km it's 3km) near the ship maintance array 3) You are displaying empty modules on your gui. 4) Modules you want to fit are in your cargo hold.
If all these requirements are met, Simply fly up to the ship maintance array open your cargo hold and drag your modules to your ship. If you don't have any open slots pull off the modules into your cargo hold, then pull the modules you want to put on your ship to those empty slots. It's as simple as that.
Things to remember:
a) Modules will be offline when you fit them. If you have multiple modules, put all the modules you want to fit on your ship then move away from the array to online modules, this way others are able to use the array while you are onlinining.
b) Drones can be dropped in your drone bay. Simply bind your drone bay to a key in the shortcuts section. Then you will get the drone bay to appear as it did pre-exodus. This allows you to swap out drones put new drones in. (remember drones must be in your cargo bay before they can be dropped into your drone bay)
Anyways, Hope this helps. Neslo From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

Dufas: I know what you mean about the onlining time. It's a pain when there isn't anyone else to help you. However our Corp has a way around the "long onlining time." It takes us about 3-4 minutes max to online an entire battleship worth of modules.
We have a support ship. It's not a cruiser, but it's role is still support. Dominix H - 4 Large Energy Transfer Array 2 Medium armor Repairers M - 4 Cap recharger 2s 1 Large Cap Battery L - 7 Cap Power Relays
This doles out almost 1800 cap every 5 seconds, infinitely. It's a decent way to get around the onlining issues with the POS. I honestly don't mind it because we have this set up... but i could see how it's annoying to others. From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

No there is no way to target members inside the bubble... however we have a safespot that we recharge at. It's less secure but you can online modules faster than an hour. From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

Just tried to remove a drone from the drone bay.
Says:
"You cannot load to or unload from the drone bay while in space."
