Hi. Where and how do u use torpedos such as Doom Torpedos?
I have tried fitting them to siege missile launchers and it says "Cannot fit Doom Torpedo as this module only accepts missiles, torpedos, etc..."
Im trying to fit a torpedo!!! So why the error message?!
Am I missing something?

its a *citadel* torp, not just a torp :)
its designed for XL launchers - such as those found on POSes and hopefully dreadnaughts.

Quite funny to see one post a day like this pop up on these forums from people that try to fit torps that kill BS's in two-three hits in their BS sized weapons, and actually expect it to be possible.

I think some rat shoots doom torpedoes, and s/he's in a BS, so yeah... BOO!

No they don't, they have a higher damage modifier, that's all. Some do fire modified torps, but not dooms

they are used on pos and npcs use them in the higher level complexes

Actually youll find theres 1 that fires 'Doom Torpedos' his name iludes me...
Im sure someone will be able to tell you it.
EDIT: Thats unless it was a bug and has now been removed.

There is a npc rat that fires them his bio says so :) Something like he has modified torps called DOOM torps but no one is sure where he got them from but their are rumors that they might be joivan or something like that

That's not ture. I killed Kyokan yesterday (ouch he hurts - 800 dmg with hardened shields). In his description you can read that he is using Doom torpedoes he probalbly got from Jovians.
The Torps that hit you are Infernos with extremely high dmg mod maybe but the description says it's doom torps.

doom torps should be restricted to dreadnaughts, titans (when they come in and POS) slow rate of fire also.
Perhaps some sort of ECM weapon for smaller ships as well
