Since we can't smuggle pretty much at all right now....
What are you doing with all your contraband 
I only see three options :
1. Leave it...
2. Dock in a Station, in the same system it dropped...prior to warpin back to Agent (assuming diffrent System)
3. Anchor Secure Cans where your agent frequently sends you. Then warp to it, and drop off your contraband for pick up at a later date.
So, let me hear what your doing .... Myself I do a combination or 2 and 3.

Just bring it back to station the highest fine I got so far is 0.00ISK

That's very good to know. So far i've been leaving contraband (Drop,Crash etc.) where it lies when i'm out of system and probably will go past customs getting to a station. Generally i've only been retrieving the stuff when the mission is in the same system as the agent.
Given that the fines are so modest it looks like i'll be changing from 1&2 to just 2

Just bring it to a station in the same system. I never done anything with it and I got a bunch of stuff laying arround in various systems. I just wait till I got enough to fill a fast ships cargo space and make an alt and bring it all to my latest agent.

I blow the cans with it up, I know I can take it to a station but its just not worth the risk, imagine if I was moving stuff and I accidently slipped in 10 units fo crash, just not worth the hassle.

Sable, move it to station... buy a Audit Secure... place in can....  Or BM the Can (with drugs, etc.) buy secure can... warp out to BM... Drop and Anchor Secure Can...place drugs in...

I dump my slaves in jet cans and blow'em up. They're worthless to sell, dangerous to transport and expensive to feed.
The narcotics I keep around for parties.

You get a warning when you undock, so there's no real risk.
Unless you're silly enough to turn the warning off.

You've missed off the fourth option:
4. Take it back to station, because you do missions in low sec and don't have to worry about customs

Since I do pirate missions I get a LOT of drugs/alcohol. I stockpile it up and invite the NPC's to the station and throw a party (got exotic dancers too). It brings your standings up.

I took some slaves 2 jumps back to station in minamatar space the other day - nothing happened at all.
Was i lucky, or have i just been put off doing something that is ok anyway?

contraband will only be checked if there are surveilance/customs ships.
If there are none of these then you got nothing to worry about. There are usually less of these in some areas as there are less pirates to attract them. Also they are rarely around stations and so transporting them about within the system is not a problem.

Do u know how to smuggle? Mixed illegal goods in the legal one.
I received a mission to transport contraband, and my agent is telling me that the custom is cleared to travel. But I forgot to attached mine to it, and now i have to wait for the next opportunity.

Here is the deal with transporting drugs and or slaves:
First of all all drugs you got you bring to some station in the system.
1.) Get a secure cargo container for every system you got drugs in.
2.) Put the secure container up in some remote erea in space.
3.) Bookmark the location.
4.) Put all drugs in it. (120m3 is the smallest can I think so you will not be doing this for a while)
5.) Do this for all systems when you want to do the transport.
6.) Plan the quickest route through all the systems so you pick up all the stuff.
7.) Start making bookmarks that will land you on top or within 1 km from the gates your are going to go through.
8.) build your alt from the militairy school.
9.) transfer enough isk to get the ship with a big enough cargo to hold all drugs
10.) buy said ship
11.) start your drug hauling run by moving to every can and through the gates with the bookmark
12.) end up at the station you want and place the drugs in a secure can there for you main to pick the stuff up.
This seems to be hazzle but in fact it isnt. Your alt will get sec hits but who gives? Your alt will be fined but who gives? In the end your alt is probably not save in secure space anymore, kill it will do you good =)
Except for the bookmarking I used my alt in a kessie to move arround 450 m3 of drugs.
Slaves btw you need to jetison in a can somewere and get your alt online asap to pass the slaves to your alt.
