Ok I open my first account and start runnin it. then open the 2nd and start runnin it then after a few minutes the 1st account I opened dissappears..basically exits the game leaving only 1 acount open? Why the hell is this happening I can guarantee you I'm not exiting it my self because this happens every time within a short time of opening the 2nd account.
How do I fix this?

open first account then open task manager and in processes set eve.exe to below normal priority, then open second account and do the same.

turn sun occulsion off or what ever its called, also run both accounts in windowed mode. Might be good to mute soudn on both account to by slecting that option in the options menu ( by this i mean clickin audio enabled not just turning volume down) |

so for copying the eve client I just copy the ccp folder or I actually go in a copy something in there also where would i stick it and name it? -----------------------------------------------

Copy the EVE folder in the CCP folder and paste it on the same place. It creates a EVE (copy) directory. Then you should be fine as long as you remember to turn sun occlusion of on both clients. __________ Capacitor research |

2 Accounts 1 Eve install folder
No problems
I've even had 3 and 4 accounts running on my PC at the same time, all from the same eve-install folder.
I've only got 2 eve installs on my PC - Tranq and Chaos, I run all my normal accounts from that one folder, and my choas folder is running some really old version at the moment since sisi is the same version as Tranq.

log in and set the game to window'ed mode then shut down the game, copy the eve dir into another for each accoount you have...i.e., eve, eve2, eve3, eve4, etc, etc..(c:\programs\ccp\eve, c:\programs\ccp\eve2...)
create a shortcut to each 'eve.exe' to launch for each account you have...
I do this and can run 3 accounts on the same box without worry
PS: shift+ctrl+alt+f12 to turn sound off on each eve-window, or the lag effect from the sounds will kill the playability ::::::::::::::::::::::::: >>...wanna cookie?<< :::::::::::::::::::::::::

dont you like the people who come in here and tell others how to play? The people who say "play with others instead of yourself" when someone comes up with a legitimate question regarding multiboxing or multiple accounts, etc.
It's all about jealously......they wish they could do and that they can't causes all sorts of acting out and whining.

I've never had issues running multiple screens on my main desktop, but it will depend on the hardware you have, most importantly RAM, available on your machine.
I run athlon 64 @ 2800, 1 Gb DDR Ram, GeForce 6800 (128 meg) and minimum graphics settings (no sound) for my instances. If the client is crashing out like that, more than likely there is not enough free RAM available. I've run Eve on slower systems, but the FPS is MUCH better when you spend the money to get decent hardware.
I get the same thing on my laptop btw, and I can only run 1 client at a time with that machine. It's just a hardware limitation m8 ;)

I can run 5 accounts just fine from one folder. Lags a bit, but that's to be expected. Just run the client windowed and you should be fine. Least i do fine.

Discodude, I spent weeks trying to find a solution. What did I find in the end? Completely disable all sound on both accounts :-( If nothing else works, this definately will.
