I came within a hair of dumping EVE altogether out of disgust at the stability problems. The only way I can play the game is with CQ disabled.
It would be really nice if CCP would prioritize stability over cutting-edge CQ graphics. What are your system stats? Why should that matter? Going from "playing the game at the high end" to "the game nukes my computer" without any change in system requirements is Bad regardless of the system stats. That's one of my bigger pet peeves (besides the regular stuff), the constant decay of client-side performance.
My system is on the VERY low end, and while slowish (and therefore having WiS turned off most of the time while i'm stuck with my 3 year old hardware) I have yet to see it crash when active.
Invest in a properly stable computer next time. It's not more expensive. The investment is time, either spent researching your own build or spent insisting on it with your computer vendor. Also, continually increasing demand on system specs is to be expected from a continually developing game. While QC is demanding right now, so were trinity graphics for some people in the beginning. Low framerates on acceptable hardware are something to rightfully complain about, your system puking up its insides while generating them is not.
OT: QCs look very nice, but I do hope you guys get to the 'meat' of WiS soon: the interactive bit. The anticipation of the players (minus the people that don't want any of it, ofcourse) is about the establishments, corporate offices with meeting rooms and all that good stuff. Also, yay for the new old hangar view coming non-tm-soon!
