I don't know, depends how this affects trade routes. If they make running trade routes too easy, it can really screw up the economy.
Granted, I don't care for the other extreme where it's nearly impossible to run the trade routes. Something in-between would be best I think.
Perhaps I am worrying for nothing though. I'd just hate to see massive inflation make ISK the interstellar toilet paper of the empires.

san, there will soon be tolls on the highways.
Not sure what price scheme they'll use, whether by cargo size, or just a standard rate for everyone (but more for caldari, of course)

Well, not that it will worry most of you, but if you stick your autopilot on unsafe route, it will quite happily plan your route through any number of 1.0 sec systems.
Funny and all, but I guess you didn't really have that in mind CCP.

If ccp do introduce the toll for the highway gates, i hope they also include an autopilot option for planning the shortest route without using the highway gates.

Heh, I have a list of bookmarks for all my Agents, previously they were scattered around, either 4 or 5 jumps away, or 15+ jumps, now I look and they are all less than 10 jumps !
All down to 2 main highways :)

They should make these new "long range" jump gates only usable by frigates and cruisers.
This would prevent trade inbalances, while letting people that want to get around quickly (for hunting, courior missions etc.) do so.
They can just say that the larger ships place too much stress on the wormhole generators/ Jump coils/ however these things work.
