This is what I have been using:
6x Siege 2x Heavy 'E500' NOS
1x Large Shield Booster 2 4x Named Hardener (One of each) 1x Cap Recharger 2
5x PDU2
Any other variations?

I have only faced angels in missions but i use HIGHS 6 x seige 2 x smartbombs (these are nto really any good for the angels but i leave them fitted anyway as nos would'nt really be much help either.
1 x large tech 2 shield booster 1 x shield amp 3 hardners (EM,Thermal,Kinetic) (explosive is already well tanked on shields so little point in using it. 1 x named caped charger
LOWS 4 x power diagnostic 2 1 x ballistic control.

Why won't Nos be much help? There still seems to be some debate about whether Nos work on NPCs. It looks to me like they're giving me cap.

true they do give you cap, but with 4 x pdu 2's and 1 cap charger cap will not be a problem you can run 3 hardners and booster constantly for 10 - 15 minutes i think, if you switch off for a few boosts around 50% cap you can run it forever.

Nossies seem to work fine for me, i prefer droping the shield booster 2 and fitting an xl-c5l and a shield boost amp and going with two hardners and two cap charger twos
6 Named Siege 2 Heavy Diminishing nossies
1 xl-c5 1 SBA 2 Hardenrs 2 T2 Cap chargers
5 PDU II's
If you fancy a change, drop two PDU II's and fit two ballistic mods, youll have to power down a nossie for this to work tho, but the extra damage is nice, especially if you have good torp skills.

Hmmm, that sucks. I guess I could put something else on (720mm 2?). I believe you Jim, but I just want someone else to confirm what you said.

its true and thats on battleships :), you can see npc cap stats I think on eve-i, npcs have such horrid cap recharge + low cap that once its gone youd be waiting hours for it to return, about usingt he guns I think thats fairly good diea I;d probably whack on soem projectiles myself if I could use them, I know people who use medium lasers without much problem, I myself have used 250 hybrids in the past/350 hybrids and the extra damage they do can be nice, mian reason i don't fit guns in my set-up is I mission for gallente and them serpentis like to hover around my ship and the smartbombs can take them out with large explosions :).

Here's the thing, even with 5 PDU 2 and Cap Recharger 2 the Large Shield Booster won't even run forever. I'm afraid an XL Booster will take too much cap. The Large T2 booster will tank a three BS spawn (2x Commander, 1x Seraphim) without much trouble and without having to turn it off but at the end it leaves you with about 30% cap.
I'm really happy with my current setup (or was before I found out about the NOS) but I'm open to new things.

Recently, I have had the pleasure to hunt in the Great Wildlands in a Raven. My current setup, can tank and kill 2 Warlords and a seraphim spawn, without going to armor. Here it is.
6 Siege 1 nosf. 1 Smart Bomb (when frigs surround and u really really are in a tight jam smartbombs rock)
1 xl c5l or t2 L whatever u feel comfortable with 1 amp 4 hardeners
4 pdu 2's 1 cap flux
Yeah yeah make fun of me for my flux, but when push comes to shove, 25% cap recharge is well worth it. GL

Nope, not gonna make fun of the flux. I haven't done the math vs. 5x PDU 2 but 4x PDU2 and a Flux gives more cap/sec than 4x PDU2 and a PDU 1.

I used this set-up back for arch angels when Curse Alliance was part of eve:
6 arbalest siege 1 t2 cloak 3 shield hardners (one thermal, kinetic, and em) 1 xl c5-l 1 shield boost amp 1 t2 cap recharger 4 t2 pdu 1 domination ballistic control

I used to fly (sometimes solo, sometimes along with Mav) using this setup:
6x siege launchers (some named, some not) 2x named heavy nos 6x heavy drones (usually 4x Ogre 2x Wasp)
XL Clarity Ward Named EM and thermal hardeners 2x shield boost amps Named cap recharger
5x PDU IIs
